Hours passed by as the two young shinobi slept peacefully; the soft grass continuously waving to the wind, the tender sun slowly setting below the coral horizon, the azure sky gradually fading into a sapphire shade.
At last the day-star sank into the depth of night, leaving only lively luminescence coating the visible side of the moon. Beneath the star-lit night sky, Obito and Y/N rested beside each other, both seeking the warmth provided by their bodies. Although the young kunoichi was in a comfortable position- laying on her left arm, using it as a pillow while her right arm gently balanced atop her side, her legs bent slightly at the knees so they were closer as to provide further warmth- her limbs began to stiffen, soon becoming an irritation even in the rapture of sleep. Henceforth, she rolled onto her back.
In the process, however, her (broken) right arm fell too, causing agonizing pain to shoot through its remaining structure. Consequently, Y/N awoke harshly with a strangled gasp. The girl rapidly brought her completely functional arm to her chapped lips and bit the clothing material of it's sleeve. Thankfully, this prevented the tormented cries from being heard.
Minutes later, Y/N still felt the agony flowing up and down her arm in a spiral-like pattern. Deciding it would be better to carefully move her arm to a more convenient position, she firstly rolled onto her right side fully to enable access to her wounded arm. Secondly, using her left hand, Y/N gently twisted her right arm so the wrist would be upwards- or atleast as far to facing upwards as she dared before moving her elbow. On that note, the girl pushed her right elbow inwards with her left hand, bringing it closer to her cooling body.
Finally, after excruciating agony, pained tears and a hurting jaw (from biting the material then clenching her teeth), the soon-to-be teen managed to straighten her injured arm into a position which caused no physical harm. Surprisingly, she accomplished this while laying down on the flattened greenery beneath her: not once did she raise her body off the ground.
Oddly, Y/N had somehow overlooked the fact that Obito was next to her this whole time- sleeping, but present. Shortly after this unfortunate event, the environmental temperature decreased suddenly. The wind picked up too, carrying a cold breeze.
Great, just great. Y/N thought, the one day I do not have anything warm to wear is the day the weather hates me.
The darkness of the summer night enshrouded the area which only just made Y/N realise it was late, most likely middle of the night. Then the bizarre events of the day before sunk in -an organized chronological order of events, the next even more eccentric than the last.
Yes, then Obito came in with Rin, we all talked and... I had a panic attack. (Mental facepalm)
After that was I not taken to a meadow? Wait... that would explain why there are tree silhouettes around me.
Then waking up to that cursed arm.
The cold only increased, causing the kunoichi to take deep breaths and shiver uncontrollably. Next to Y/N movement could be felt. Her body stiffened up, she was currently defenceless. Maybe for once luck would be on her side and this would just be an animal looking around. Curiosity overwhelmed her and she -painfully- lifted her head slightly above ground level while squinting her eyes.
A person?
As if on cue, the 'person' shifted closer to Y/N. She now could see the shape of spiky hair and goggles.
Obito?! How in Hashirama's name could I forget he was here?!
And is he... sleeping?
