it turned out that kristin was pregnant again. we bought a test and it was positive, unsurprisingly. she was so excited that she screamed so loud in the bathroom stall that i could hear her from outside. alex never found out about the abortion and re-conception, though.

today was the day. i'm going to the wedding with pete as his fucking boyfriend. i've never had a boyfriend before, but it's probably just like having a girlfriend but better, right? i hope it is.

he was supposed to be here by now, but i don't mind that he's a little late. he's probably just dressing himself up nicely and that, my friends, does not take pete a short time to do.

just as my thoughts started to get filled with his face, his car arrived in my driveway. i watched him walk up to the door and knock. i, coincidentally, was already standing near the door, so i opened it rather quickly.

"hi, mikey, you ready?" he asked, straightening his red tie.

"yeah, let's go."

i locked the door behind me as we both walked out of my house. as we settled into the car, pete had to turn down the volume of the radio because he saw my cringe as soon as i heard how loud it was.

"thanks."

"it's okay, i agree that i play my music way too loud," he assured me.

we both laughed and he started driving to the wedding.

"hi, pete!" a brunette girl greeted as soon as she saw him.

"hi, amara! i haven't seen you in months!" they hugged and she adjusted a pin sticking out of her hair.

"this is my boyfriend, mikey. he's the guy from the news."

"nice to meet you! i was excited to meet pete's newest love interest," she said, laughing a bit after.

"nice to meet you, too," i replied, shaking her hand and smiling.

"your parents are with ray, so good luck with that."

"ah, shit. wish us luck." pete rolled his eyes.

"trust me, i will."

as we started walking over to pete's parents and the unknown "ray" character, i asked pete a question.

"what's the deal with ray?"

"he's extremely homophobic. i think that sums it up."

"charming."

pete's parents waved and he waved back immediately. they looked rather jolly, but the guy standing near them looked like he was about to raise some hell.
