"mikey, i'm home!" kristin yelled as soon as she walked in the door.

i ended up sitting and watching supernatural with frank and gerard because i don't get to spend quality time with them much when they're not making out in the corner and i'm just awkwardly making food or watching tv like i am now.

"hey," i greeted her after standing up and walking over to where she was. i gave her a kiss on the cheek and she shot me a fake smile right after.

what was that for? did i do something?

she went rather quickly to our room with a bag of stuff i didn't see enough of to know what was inside.

"has something been bothering kris lately?" i asked the pair on the couch.

"i don't really know, but i'm glad i'm not the only one who noticed. she's been acting...well, how do i say this, off lately. from what i've observed, at least," frank responded.

"maybe you should just spend some time with her. it might make her feel better and, if she does have something she needs to get off her chest, she'll be more comfortable telling you," gerard suggested.

"sounds like a good idea. thanks, guys."

"no problem," frank answered as i walked up the stairs to see kristin.

i opened the door to our room and noticed that she was nowhere to be found; it was beyond odd. i swear i just saw her walk up here.

but, to my avail, she walked right in with what looked like an unfamiliar pen.

"mikey, we need to talk."

three days ago

"don't start this fight again with me again, kristin. you knew from the start that i don't want kids one bit!"

"i know that, but i'm trying to show you why it would be a beautiful thing to add to our life!"

"i've given you my reasons, it's final."

"is it because you're not comfortable with the making process? because that is so idiotic!"

"no, that has nothing to do with it. you know i wouldn't be able to help you with the damn thing! i hardly get to see you as it is, let alone add a fucking baby into the mix!"

"i'm going to janelle's for the night. see you tomorrow."

she rapidly stormed out the door after grabbing her phone. frank and gerard weren't home from who knows where yet, so i was just sitting alone in my thoughts.

should i risk my job and happiness just to satisfy one my girlfriend's wants? i don't want to sound like a dick, but it's a no from me.
