(The two Hawkant/Avengers Assemble people want to marry me. I accept. This chapter starts the journey of ships you think are going to end up together, but won't. Also sorry about calling out Jane and Darcy, but I ain't the biggest fan, plus you always need bitchy characters.)

- Wanda -

Wanda awkwardly stood behind Steve as he talked to Jane and Darcy after the fight. After Wanda had congratulated him, the two girls cornered him and started hardcore flirting with him. He was quite naive and honestly, so were they. Had they never heard of Steve and Bucky's relationship? Had Steve never been asked out by a girl before?

"Well, thank you," Steve said again in response to something about how nice his fighting techniques were. "Now if you excuse me, I promised Wanda here I would bring her back to her room." He was lying, but Wanda didn't mind. He just needed a way out.

"See you later, Captain," Jane said with a wink as she and Darcy headed out.

Steve let out a breath and scooped up his helmet and shield.

"You handled that nicely," Wanda told him as he put the shield on his back.

"You think so?" Steve wondered. "They were being really nice and I thought it was maybe a little out of character."

"Nothing escapes you," Wanda said, taking the arm Steve offered her. He lead her back to her room.

"Did you have fun?" Steve asked. "I saw you talking to Vision."

Wanda nodded slowly. The Vision fascinated her as in she couldn't figure him out. He wasn't human but when Wanda managed to brush her hand against his, she found that inside his head, he thought exactly like one. It was a little heartbreaking to know that he would never fit in. Heartbreaking and all too familiar.

"He was very kind," she finally said. It was true. All throughout her talking with him, he listened intently even though she was just explaining why she was watching, not to mention he talked to her in the first place. It made her feel a lot less awkward to have someone to talk to. Otherwise she would've just stood there and looked around, wondering which of the people there could've saved her brother.

"Well, I'm glad it wasn't a waste of your time," they had arrived at her room. Her roommate, Val, hadn't arrived yet. Wanda thought she was still talking with Carol Danvers about their victory.

She nodded again. "I'm glad you asked me."

Steve smiled then leaned forward and kissed her on the forehead. "Goodnight, Wanda."

"Goodnight," she called down the hallway, after him. She was glad she had someone to talk with, even if he could never relate to her all that much. It was like if Wanda had any parents, they would act like him.

Faceplanting on her bed, Wanda contemplated her existence and why Vision chose to talk to her. She turned her head sideways and stared at the picture of her and her brother until she eventually drifted off into sleep.

- Scott -

Scott didn't know what he did to deserve this.

At first he thought Clint was bringing him outside to fight him, which was strange because Clint had already beat him in the tournament, but as Clint turned a corner and shoved Scott into a janitor's closet, Scott realized it was probably something else.

Clint pinned him against a wall, his arm over Scott's shoulders.

"Is this cause I called you gay?" Scott asked quietly.
