- Loki (again)-

Loki set a bush in flames with the sceptre. He wasn't allowed to use it until after it had done the job for them, so he just wanted to do something with it. After taking it from the vault, Odin hadn't noticed anything. Possibly Frigga could've, but it seemed unlikely, since she would know that what Loki and Grandmaster were planning was pretty "bad". By bad, meaning awesome, of course.

Entering Tony's lab space, he reluctantly parted with the sceptre, leaving it against some table, next to the large glass floor that he was instructed would be affected by the stone in the sceptre. He could only hope it would work. With a final longing glance at what would be his after Tony Stark got what was coming to him, he left the lab and went to return home.

- Steve -

Steve woke up to sirens. Funny that it was this late in the year and over break that they finally decided to go off. He skidded out of bed and grabbed his shield on the way out the door.

A few kids ran past him to the emergency exits. A few of them looked at Steve weird for wearing pajama pants, Bucky's hoodie (a little tight on him), and carrying a red, white, and blue shield. Technically, Steve was supposed to be finding a safe place to go to, but he survived a war, steroids, and crashing a plane into ice. He could handle a little scuffle at a high school.

Reaching the main corridor, he was joined by Maria Hill, holding two guns and looking tired, but prepared.

"What's up?" Steve asked.

"Explosion in the lab," she informed. "Something from inside the school caused it."

They didn't stop running until they got to the lab. In the center of it was a black hole, burned in from the ceiling. A silver robot head sat in the crater.

Fury and a few other SHIELD agents were already there. A few feet away from the charred ground was a sceptre of some sort, with a glowing blue stone on the top. Fury looked like he warned his agents to stay away from it. Steve didn't blame him. That blue glow...

"Rogers," Fury nodded to him, thankfully not mad.

"What happened?"

"Some sort of AI created itself a body, with the help of this scept-," the agent informing Steve suddenly fell and stuck to the ground like a magnet was pulling down his heart. The same thing happened to Fury and Hill.

Instinctively, Steve threw his shield at the door. A clunk followed. Steve caught the shield and came face to face with Thor's crazy little brother, Loki. Typically, Steve noticed he mainly wore black clothing like a teen in their emo years, but now Loki wore a dark cape with an interior of gold. It was a little flashy for him.

"Stupid enough to steal something in broad daylight?" Steve dodged three knives that Loki had summoned, only assuming that he was there for the glowstick.

"Didn't want to have to break into headmaster's office," Loki retorted, swinging another knife uncomfortably close to Steve, knocking his shield away.

Loki drew close for another blow. Steve rolled out of the way just in time and scooped his shield back up. They were practically sword fighting now. Loki would jab with his knife and Steve would block it, either attacking with the edge of his shield or a kick.

Out of the corner of his eye, Steve noticed Fury start to get up. The spell had worn off. With a final burst of energy, Steve simultaneously got out of the way, dodging, and throwing his shield and the back of Loki's legs, so he fell to the floor.
