Kelsey's POV
"Last chance to stop me kiddo." Tony sighs tapping his fingers against the steering wheel as we fly down the road leading to the compound. "Tony I'm twenty-three I'm not a kid anymore." I chuckle nervously trying to buy time before I have to respond.
He's actually putting the fate of the world and my loved ones in my hands.
"If I say stop you'll actually stop?" I ask in disbelief falling over slightly as we take a sharp turn faster than we should. "Of course, you've taken care of me in my old age like... Peter would have. Now whether you've done it because you felt obligated I'll never know, but nonetheless you've done a good job..."
"Do it."
"What?" He asks clearly not hearing me.
"Do it, and yes because I want to see Peter again and after everything that's happened I think I'm allowed to be a little selfish like that. But also so Morgan can see her brother, so you can have your son back, so my dad can see his best friend, so Shuri can have her brother, and so Rocket and Nebula can have their entire family back."
He nods pushing on the gas pedal when he really should be hitting the brakes."God Kels, I miss him so much. All I can remember is feeling his ashes in my hands when I should remember holding his body." I pause before responding breathing in and out slowly to stop myself from crying.
"I miss him too Tony, and the fact that his last words were 'I'm sorry I let you both down' still haunts me." I explain hesitantly not wanting to open up a wound that had don't healed, but I don't think I have anything to worry about. "I'm doing this because I want to see this everyday again." He takes out a picture of Peter and I smiling and acting like goofs. "I want to see smiling people again."
We pull up before I can answer, and I quickly step out enveloping my dad in a hug. "Why the long face? Let me guess, he turned into a baby?" Tony asks as he hops out of the car and walks around the back.
"Among other things, yeah. What are you doing here, and where's my son?" And I chuckle softly vividly picturing what they were up to. "Well since we're going to be time traveling i decided it'd be best to leave the tots at home."Tony goes on to explain the science behind everything and I kinda tune him out abomination softly when they both apologize for yesterday.
"We got a shot at getting these stones, but I gotta tell you my priorities: Bring back what we lost? I hope, yes. Keep what I got? I have to, at all costs. And... maybe not die trying will be nice." He's smirking, playful even, and it's either because he's confident or really nervous.
"I'm gonna agree, I want to get them back, but I can't lose what I have here either." And he wraps a protective arm around my shoulders pulling me closer to him. Well he's going to love our plan then. Tony then opens the trunk pulling out the shiny new shield, and I can tell my dad's hesitant to take it.
He doesn't feel like he deserves it after everything that's gone down. "Morgan and James find it this morning, I gotta get it out."
So while they're getting deep I slip my hands farther into the back and grab the red and blue fabric shoving it behind my back hoping he won't see. "Kelsey Sarah Rogers, What's behind your back?" My dad asks using that dad voice that has me freaking out even though I'm twenty-three.
"Well I can't let you guys have all the fun, but first I have to meet up with an old friend."

Kelsey's POV
"Lady Kelsey, lady Kelsey!" I stop confused for a second until a little boy and two girls have cornered me smiling broadly. "What are we learning today?" They ask just as eagerly, and that's when I realize it's Wednesday. And I always visit New Asgard on Wednesday to help out while teaching the children.
