You're Just Like Me - Neji Hyuuga

A/N: Eh...another one of my shortest oneshots :/

They say that Valentines' Day is the time where people work harder just to see the person they treasure smile.

That was what you were planning on achieving for the day. You took a day off from your duty to ... well, give a smile to the face of the wise boy of your dreams, Neji Hyuuga.

As you woke up (naturally) from a long nap under a tree somewhere around Konoha, you tried to think of something for that special day. Surely, Neji might not bother to think for that day, so you want to surprise him.

Well, the story changed when both you and Neji have changed after three years. You now think it was a lovely holiday, it gives people in-love a fifty-fifty chance of being with the person they like.

You snapped out of your thoughts when a figure towered over you.

"Minako-chan!" exclaimed Tenten.

"Oh, Tenten." you smiled sleepily in respond. Tenten grinned and asked, "So ... do you know what's happening today?"

"Basically," you paused, "yes." . Tenten shifted her shoulders, "So do you have any plans withhimtonight?" . You blushed lightly.

"That's probably means no." Tenten shrugged as she sat down beside you. "Would you like me to help you?"

"Oh, no. Even if I give Neji anything, he might not accept it." you said (fake)humbly.

"You're so slow." said Tenten. "You have to be more expressive like Lee, girl!"

"Well, it's not easy to express your feelings."

It was already dawn by the time your 'fun' conversation with Tenten under the tree ended. Yes, you spent half the day talking to the witty Chunin kunoichi.

You sighed as you walked home, disappointed with yourself. Just when the only chance-filled day has finished, you were free. Well, you didn't think of anything to do, anyway. There's always next year.

You stopped as something caught your eye. You looked the right where a forest lies. On the ground starting from the back door of your house began a trail. A trail of petals. Rose petals!

What was going on? You walked over to the back door and saw a note stuck to it.

Follow the rose petal trail. I'll be waiting...

Your secret admirer ...

A secret admirer! You never thought that anyone will admire you, but then again, are you even awake?

You folded the note and slipped it into your pocket before following the trail of rose petals. The wind kissed your cheeks as you walked. The full moon was already up in the dark blue sky among a sea of stars.

You gasped and smiled as you saw the exact person you thought about the whole day, leaning by a tree on a cliff that reveals the whole village, along with the sky.

"Valentines' Day is where we word harder to make the person we treasure smile, right?" asked Neji, hands in his pockets as he approached you.

You smiled again, "That's true." .

You both lean in slowly. And the next thing you knew, you were being kissed byhimunder the moonlight. It was gentle and full of passion. The sky, as well, was elegant. You both pulled away after a good 10 minutes.

"Destiny brought us together..." you both said in (unexpected) unison.

"You're just like me!" you both said in (unexpected) unison again~
