~Ivan Posh's Pov~

We rounded the corner and rushed down the hall, Ms. Syrean's frantic cries getting louder and louder every step we took. We rushed down the stairs- I took two at a time while Gianna sped walked down the stairs. My heart was pounding so hard in my chest. I saw a sight that would haunt me and scar me for the rest of my life.

Mr. Velkerie was standing in the middle of the room covered in blood. His fists were clenched closed and his eyes were filled with anger. My parents stood behind him, shaking in fear. I immediately ran towards them and hugged them close, comforting them.

"Father, what happened?" Gianna asked, her voice surprisingly calm.

My mother's bottom lip trembled as she spoke out the words.

"Yo- Your Mother.." Mom said slowly, her eyes filling up with tears.

"What about her?" Gianna asked, confused on the situation. She scanned the room to find her mother.

"Gianna- she isn't here. Sh- She-" My mother broke down in my arms, sobbing loudly; the tears falling down.

"She died Gianna. She died." My gaze immediately turned to look at Gianna's reaction.

Gianna stood there, mouth opened. She closed her mouth and took a deep breath.

"You can't be serious." She whispered, her hand going to mouth.

"Gianna.." My mother said sadly, hiccuping and sobbing.

"Y-You are lying! Father?" Gianna looked at her father for confirmation and the next thing that happened completely shocked all of us.

He fell to his knees and cried out. The tears falling down his face and he yelled out in agony. He was shaking and sobbing which made us all gasp at the sight. Who would've thought that the coldest king in all five kingdoms would be here; having a meltdown.

Gianna's question was answered at the sight of her father. I was shocked to see when she didn't comfort him- instead she stomped up the stairs and went into her room by the slamming of a door. I didn't know what to do. My mother was crying in my father's arms, while Mr. Velkerie was crying alone in the middle of the room covered in blood- mourning his lover's death.

"He killed them." Mother whispered to me so only I could hear her voice trembling.

"What do you mean Mother?" I asked, intrigued.

"After he discovered that Mr.Chikryn poisoned her, he went on a rampage." Mother said quietly, raising a shaking finger to point at Mr. Velkerie.

"He murdered them in cold blood." Mother said shakily, her entire body shaking in fear.

"Can we cut off the deal?" She said desperately, clutching my father's shirt.

"Honey, you know we can't." My father said; his tone hard.

"Please." My mother pleaded, her face stained with tears.

"We're in too deep. We can't back out now." My father whispered, holding onto my mother.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to compose herself.

"Okay. You're right. Plus- we wouldn't be us if we didn't help a friend in need." My mother said sadly, her body still shaking slightly.

The whole room was complete silence; Mr. Velkerie stopped crying and just knelt on the ground, not doing anything.

"Mr. Velkerie.." My mother said in a comforting tone, her voice cracking.

"Leave." Mr. Velkerie's voice spoke with authority.

"But- " My mother tried to reason with him but all she got was a cold glare from Mr. Velkerie which made her flinch.

"I said leave. Now." Mr. Velkerie stood up from his spot. His eyes was red from the tears, and his cold glare rested on my mother.

"Don't talk to my wife like that." My father said with the same voice that Mr. Velkerie had used moments ago.

Mr. Velkerie took a deep breath and rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand, clearly stressed.

"Pardon me for my rude attitude. I'm truly sorry if I offended you or your wife at any means. You would know that I'm currently mourning my wife's death and trying to keep myself together. I'll say as politely as I can; can you please leave?" Mr. Velkerie said sadly, rubbing the subtle on his face.

"Alright. We'll see you when you call and when you get better. We wish you the best." My father said formally, using on hand to shake Mr. Velkerie's hand.

My father flinched a little when his hand came in contact with Mr. Velkerie's bloodied one, but quickly composed himself and shook his hand firmly. They both nodded at each other and we quickly walked out the door, closing it right after we were outside.

We were so glad to have gotten out of that situation at that exact moment when we heard something shatter from the inside of the kingdom making all of us flinch. We hurriedly went to our personal car with our driver waiting for us. The guard opened the door with us, and we thanked them, climbing inside the shiny black car.

It took a few minutes to finally reach our kingdom. The gate automatically opened and the car drove down the pathway. It finally came to a stop and the guard opened the door for us once again, and we thanked them. We walked down the stone pebbled pathway; the garden was kept neat and trimmed to perfection. The bushes had flowers in full bloom, the trees stood tall with the branches hanging out. My habitat caught up to me as I plucked a beautiful purple flower, twirling it in between my fingers.

I walked up to the door and I rung the door bell, looking behind me to see my parents taking their time walking up the pathway. I turned back around to see the new maid open the door slightly; cautious. I smiled sweetly at her, my heart beating a bit faster as I saw her open the door widely. She had a soft smile on her lips as she whispered softly.

"Welcome home Prince Ivan."
