~Rose Genavean's Pov~

I walked through the halls, smiling at the guests that were inside the kingdom. I was trying to find my husband who probably was messing around. My dress flowed fluidly down my back and I unconsciously ran my hand over the ring on my finger, smiling brightly.

I looked through all the rooms, went to the dining room, the living room, and even the garden but I still couldn't find him. I rolled my eyes at his childish antics, trying to hide away from me. Ivan and I were married for over six years now and I couldn't be happier. My heart flutters just at the mention of his name.

I get to call him mine and vice versa. Ivan's such a gentleman and he is extremely soft and hard working. He does little stuff like remember when we got together, give me tiny presents, and even leaving notes around the house for me to find.

I was starting to lose hope but remembered that there was this one last room that I didn't check. The living room was crowded with people and I greeted all of them. The room was filled with chatter and gossip, but I tuned it out, trying to find my husband.

I got up the stairs and went down the hall, running my hand over the wooden planks. I smiled when I heard his voice inside the room at the end of the hall. I took my precious time and walked towards it.

I put my hand on the door handle and slowly opened it; poking my head inside.

I smiled as I saw my son and daughter tackle Ivan from behind, and he laughed out. He pretended to be a monster and the kids squealed, running away from him. He grabbed our daughter and lifted her up onto his back making her squeal. Ivan also grabbed our son too, and lifted him up, throwing him in the air and catching him.

All of them were laughing with joy that they didn't notice me go inside the room and was leaning against the door frame. I folded my arms across my chest and had an amused expression on my face.

"Didn't I tell you guys that it was already past your bed time?" My voice called out, making them freeze in the act.

All three of them looked at me and had guilty expressions. Ivan let them down slowly and they all stoof beside each other, looking down at the ground. I sighed out and shook my head, and walked towards them.

I bent down to their level and looked at them. My eyes soften when I saw their tiny guilty faces. I ruffled their hair and they looked up at me with curious eyes. I lifted both of them up and they both squealed. I softly let them land in their beds and tucked them in.

I gave Ivan a pointed look and he just smiled at me with a guilty expression. I looked back at my children looking at me with big wide eyes.

"Good night loves." I whispered to them, kissing the top of their heads.

"I want a story! Please tell us a story!" My daughter said, my son agreeing with him.

I let out a sigh and sat down at the side of their beds, Ivan sitting down beside me wrapping his hands around my waist.

"Okay." I let out a deep breath before continuing.

"Once upon a time, in the city of Noxly-" I started the story off, smiling at my children who looked intrigued and listened to my every word.
