Point of View: Logan, Third Person
Timeline: Flashback (cont.)

"Oh no!"

Logan looked up from his book.  "Patton? Is everything okay?" He called out from his chair in the living room.

Patton walked hesitantly into the doorway.  He kept shifting his weight from one foot to the other, worry written on his face.  "Virgil forgot his phone," he said, holding up Virgil dark phone case with the P!ATD popsocket attached (a gift from Roman, Logan believed).  Patton's free hand fiddled anxiously with the cardigan sleeves wrapped around his shoulders.

Logan raised his eyebrows, setting his book down in his lap and used his index finger to momentarily hold his place.  "He forgot his phone? How did he manage to do that?" He asked, adjusting his glasses.

"Oh, it was my fault," Patton bit his bottom lip worriedly.  "We lost track of time and then he was late and he was in such a rush he left it behind!"

"Well, the storm seems to have passed, I can go drop it off," Logan took a moment to memorize his page number before setting his book down on the coffee table and getting to his feet.  "Just give me a moment to get changed and I'll head out.  I could use a drink," Logan added, holding his hand out for Virgil's phone.

Normally Patton probably would argued, but Logan was the only logical option.  Patton didn't have a car (his old Honda Accord died a month or two ago) and Virgil's old Jeep was constantly in and out of the shop (current status: in) so Roman must've dropped him off (he probably stopped by the theater while he was out so who knows how long he would be).  That left only Logan's truck (which was thankfully in perfect order) to make the trip.

"Okay," Patton said nervously handing over Virgil's phone.  The moment he wasn't holding it anymore he started fidgeting, picking at his nails.  "Make sure that if you drink let Virgil drive home.  Or I can borrow Roman's car to come pick you up if Virgil's too tired - "

"I don't plan on drinking that much, but I will be sure to keep that in mind," Logan reassured before heading upstairs towards his room.

Patton wrapped his arms tightly around his stomach, eyebrows pinched together in concern.  He just had... had a really bad feeling.  "Just be careful, Lo..."

__________

To say that Virgil was happy to see him was an understatement.

"Oh gosh, please tell me you brought my phone."

Logan pulled Virgil's phone out of the back pocket of his jeans.  "Patton was the one who noticed," Logan stated handing Virgil the phone over the counter.

"No way," Virgil grabbed his phone greedily.  "Thanks, L.  I would've been so embarresed about having to ask Joan for a ride home.  Again," Virgil groaned, adjusting the collar of his black polo.  To say that the bar had a dress code wasn't entirely correct but Virgil's typical wardrobe was still deemed... impractical.

"It was no trouble," Logan commented, taking a seat at the bar.  "Keeping yourself busy?"

Virgil raised an eyebrow as he got Logan a pint of Sam Adams, surprised.  "It's Friday night.  Busy is an understatement," Virgil rolled his eyes sarcastically.  "On the house by the way, for making the trip."

"Thanks."

"It was no trouble," Virgil teased for a moment before sighing.  "It is really great to see you, but I gotta go," Virgil's thumb gestured over to the other end of the bar where a group of men were laughing loudly and yelling for the bartender to sent them more shots.

"Oh, no rush," Logan commented.  "I texted Roman that I'd give you a ride home."

Virgil laughed shaking his head.  "You're like... awesome.  Thanks L," Virgil gave him a quick two-finger salute before heading towards the other side of the bar.

Logan sighed, taking a sip of his beer.  Today had taken quite the curious turn, Logan had decided.  Was it wrong of him to not get that stranger out of his head?

Maybe it was Dee being a little too kind or maybe Logan being a little too gay or perhaps a mix of both.

Logan frowned at the counter, tuning out the loud chatter and music.  Admittedly Logan didn't usually come by the bar on Fridays (Logan really didn't come by the bar that much in general) so he wasn't a fan of all the... choas.

"Mind if I join you?"
