*This is the chapter that took a lot of rewriting. I hope you like it.

A new character is introduced in this chapter. You have heard of them before. Can you guess who they are.*

*Amay's point of view*

We were waiting at the bus stop and Courage was getting us quite a few incredulous looks.

It's weight felt like a water filled balloon on my shoulders. Arlo could barely keep his excitement.

A guy waiting with us turned to look at us, his eyes widened in recognition and then he started backing away from us, horrified.

When I frowned at him, he turned tail and sprinted away from us.

That was weird.

Arlo cocked his head on one side in confusion and courage pecked him on his head.

Arlo leapt up to catch it and courage flew away towards the school with a protesting quack.

I shook my head at their antics. Arlo crossed his hands and pouted.
A few onlookers started laughing at this.

After a few minutes, A car screeched to a stop in front of us and a tall man stepped out of it.

He had golden brown wavy hair and blue eyes. He looked like he was in his early twenties.

As soon as he came over, a hush fell over the people.

What? Was he famous?

His intense eyes sweeped over the bus stop and people started scampering off the bus stop.

Wait what?

I was worried now. I held Arlo's hand protectively, who looked up questioningly at me.

The man sauntered to a seat in the middle of the bench and sat down. He looked extremely out of place sitting on the soiled bench in his suit.

I tried to ignore his presence but I couldn't help but tense up.

I could see from the corner of my eyes that he was staring at us. Finally, when I grew restless and turned to face him.

"It's rude to stare." Arlo told him.

"Please forgive my transgressions. " he replied but he looked unfazed like it was his job to creep people out daily.

"da, what's the meaning of trans..what he said?" Arlo asked.

"It means doing something which is not right." The man explained, patiently.

His words seemed harmless but something about him had put me on an edge. He reeked of danger. It was like standing in front of a predator.

"Excuse us. We have to leave. Come Arlo, let's get back home." I said.

"Let's not be so hasty. I have just got here. Allow me to introduce myself at least." He interjected.

"Err---"

"I am John Wander. I had the pleasure of knowing your husband too. You see, 5 years ago, one of our henchmen killed his father and wife, bless their souls,"

I gasped at that, my eyes darting everywhere to find ways of escaping.

He was from the gang that killed Karim, Arlo's mum and his dad.

"and he retaliated by killing my dad and all my brothers. We managed to kill him too but we are not quite even yet. You see, he killed my family so, it's only fair that I get to kill his." He smiled darkly.
