As i stepped out of the ostentatious limo my brother wrestled me into to go to the date i have been forced to attend, i feel eyes burning into the back of my skull, the feeling not malicious but more curious and in the end my own curiosity wins as i turn slowly, my gaze instantly captured by young, bright green eyes, a small figure huddled in an empty doorway, hood pulled over their head so their face is in shadow, but the cracked nail polish on the dainty fingernails leads me to believe that it is a young girl. As captivated by me as i am by her, our eyes hold for mere seconds but it feels like hours, listening carefully i hear her heart stutter, her breath catch in her throat, i cant help the smirk slip across my face as i turn on my heel and walk into the restaurant where my date is waiting, much to my disdain, my feet dragging, the smells of the restaurant turning my already churning stomach as i step into the warmth. My mind still focused on the mysterious girl in the doorway.
