Lana's POV:
"Here's your room," I open the door wide for Zale. I smile at him as he enters and gazes around the room with disinterest.
My smile fade, "Do you not like it?" I try to hide the shock in my voice when he doesn't show any interest or excitement.
How could he not like it? It's the best guest room in the castle!
I look around the room, looking for anything that was throwing off the luxurious setting.
Lets see... The bed was made with a white silk with golden tread stitch into intricated design. Matching curtains that were tied to the walls by a thick braided rope to let light in.
The marble floor was polish, so clean I can see myself. The white dressser was set against the wall, a long length mirror stood beside it. A square white carpet in the center of the room.
Everything looks perfect. So what was wrong?
"It's fine Lana," Zale says, "Its a really nice room." He adds as he sits on the edge of the bed.
I sigh in relief, "You had me worry there. You deserve the best for saving my life."
He looks at me and smiles and I feel my heart skip a beat. His eyes were a stormy grey color and they seemed to gleam in amusement. His skin was pale as if it hasn't seen the light of day. And his hair was spiked and silver which really amaze me.
"How come your hair is silver?" I ask, curiously.
He touches his hair and shrug, "I was born with it."
I look out the window. The sky was clear of clouds so the sun shine bright and I hear seagulls squawking.
"It's a really nice day today," I said with a smile.
He stares out the window and shrugs, "I suppose," was all he said.
"Its so nice that we shouldn't stay inside. We should be out there to enjoy it! I can show you castle town!"
He grimaces, as if the idea of going outside into the sun bothers him. His hands clench into fists. He looks up at me, "You really want to go outside?"
I nod, "Yes! Won't you come with? Please?"
He sighs and stands up, "Okay, let's go."
I take his hand, I ignore him tensing up. I guess he's not use to having personal contact. Which is strange how can one not have contact with another person?
I lead Zale through the castle; giving him a quick tour of my home. I wouldn't be surprise if he ends up getting lost here. I knew this was not the best way to tour espically when you're in a hurry.
"You do know castle town isn't going anywhere right?" He asks with humor in his tone.
I smile, "I know but there's someone I want you to meet and I haven't seen him in awhile." I say as we take the door that leads out to the docks to the ocean.
"Uh, I do believe castle town is in the other direction, princess." Zale says.
I scoff, "I know that, but there is someone you should meet."
We walk onto the docks where my mother stood just yesterday morning.
"Who do you want me to meet?" He asks looking at me confuse.
I kneel down and touch the calming cool water with my finger. The water ripples by the disturbance and I wait. Nothing happens for a minute.
"Princess?" Zale says.
Before he could say anything else I hear something jump out of the water and a red crab lands in front of us.
I smile at my friend, "Good day Sebastian," I greet.
The red crab waves with its claw, and with a Jamaican accent he said, "Good day, your Highness! I heard you were in a ship wreak! I am so glad your safe! How could you not have told me that you were going across Exile Waters?!
"I could've went with you! I can't believe your parents will allow you to go to that treacherous place just to meet a prince! I bet that demon witch, Ursula created it! She is very territorial these days."
I hear Zale clear his throat, Sebastian notices him for the first time, "Oh! Lana I didn't know you had company. Who is this young man?"
I smile, "This is Zale, he saved me from the storm and swam back here just to bring me back safely. I wanted you to meet him."
Sebastian crawls to Zale and looks up at him, "Thank you Zale, for protecting my princess. Hrm, I must say you look rather familiar... Have we met before?"
Before I could tell Zale what Sebastian said; he shakes his head, "I don't believe so. I'm sure I would remember meeting the famous crab who helped Queen Ariel be with King Eric."
My eyes widen and Sebastian goes silence, before then he says, "You... You can hear what I'm saying?"
Zale looks confuse, "Uh... Yeah?" He answers, unsure.
Sebastian looks at me and I step forward, "Are you a... merman?" I ask curiously.
His eyes widen and he stays silence for a minute, thinking. He looks at Sebastian then looks back at me. "What? No one else hears him speaking?" He asks.
I nod, "Not unless they're half sea creature. Are you a merman?" I repeat.
He slowly nods, "Yeah..."
I gasp, "How did you turn your tail into legs?! Was that why it seemed you never walked before? And that's how you swam all the way here! No human can do that!"
He backs away, "Uh... I found a potion and decided to use it." He looks down at Sebastian, "It was my pleasure protecting Princess Lana."
"Thank you again Zale. You look so familiar, but I can't put my claw on it. Ugh this is gonna bother me all day."
Sebastian says.He turns around and looks up at me, "Well I do have to get going your highness. I have my wife expecting me and you know how she is. I'll come by and visit again!" With that he jumps into the water and swims away.
