(John's pov)

After my turn for truth or dare was over, the game continued. By the end of the game, I had been chosen only once, meaning that I no longer had a current chance to get Swagger to spill anything about Jaren. I'll admit, I'm pretty frustrated about it, it's like reading a chapter of a book, being left with a cliff hanger, and closing the book, knowing it will be a while until you get to read the next chapter. (Me every time I binge a book while waiting for the next chapter, only to get to the current chapter and repeat the cycle.)

After our game of truth or dare, everyone was tired, so we ended up calling it a night around 11:15.

---------------------------------
The next morning:
---------------------------------

When I woke up, like yesterday, I was met with Nogla, who seemed to be waiting for me to wake up, now knowing of my sleep schedule.

We talked for a while about random things until everyone else, one by one, eventually woke up.

After a game of rock, paper, scissors, Swagger ended up having to go downstairs and see what we were having for breakfast. When he came back up, he handed Craig a note left by his mom, the note was passed around until it got to me:

'Hey boys!

I had to go to work for a bit, I'll be back around 8! Since I won't be here to cook breakfast, I've left some muffins in the fridge, there should be plenty for everyone! Don't set the house on fire while I'm gone! (True story: my mom would tell me this every time she would leave me home alone)

-Mrs. Thompson'

^ it read.

"I guess we should head downstairs." Craig said, after everyone had read the note.

Mumbled agreements spread and soon we were all heading downstairs.

Tyler pulled out the muffins, that, as said in the note, were in the fridge. He set them on the dinning table signaling for everybody to dig in.

After we were all done everyone except Craig, of course, started to pack up their stuff, so that they'd be ready when they would eventually leave. After everyone were settled down and all packed up, I headed over to where Swagger was.

"Hey," I say approaching him, "around what time do you think you'd be ok with dropping me off at my house?"

"Maybe around six, if that's ok with you?" He responds with an unsure expression.

"Yea, that works." I say, heading back to where my stuff was, so I could pull my phone out.

John- hey, I got a friend to drop me off back home today, I'll be home, at the latest, by around 8. Is that ok?

I text my mom, making sure that my time of return wouldn't be too late for her. I head a buzz come from my phone no less than a minute later.

Mom- yea that's fine! I'll see you tonight!

John- cya!

I slip my phone into my pocket heading over to the boys who were playing Pictionary while eating some newly prepared sandwiches for lunch.

After we played a few rounds of that, we decided to head outside and play some Horse. (Horse was no joke, my childhood, I remmember my friends and I would take it very seriously, sadly though, I suck at any type of sport, so I always lost.)

As is got near 4pm, peope started to head out. As they left, we exchanged phone numbers, partially so I could prove to my mom that I've already made friends. (Me tbh.)

By 5:50, the only ones who remained were Swagger, Fitz, Tyler, and myself.

Swagger and I both double checked that we both had everything we needed. While we waited for the clock to strike 6, we chatted with the others until an alarm went off on Swagger's phone.

"It was nice meeting you all, I'll see you guys at school." I told the small group of people as Swagger and I headed to the front door with our stuff in hand.

We got into the car and I told Eric my address and he typed it into his phone.

"Its going to be about a 40 minute drive." He said, looking at the information at his cellular device.

I hum in approval and stare out the window as the car became silent.

After about 20 minutes of driving, Swagger's phone vibrates and he didn't answer it, but instead waited until we could pull over for a few minutes so he could take care of it. (Seriously, don't text and drive, even though it's temping.)

I see him type something before stopping to make eye contact with me for a few seconds. He goes back to typing and puts his phone down. A few seconds later, it buzzes again. Swagger responds to what I'm guessing is a text and pulls back up the GPS on his phone, before we head back onto the road.

"Sorry about that," he says, keeping his eyes on the road, "We'll be making a stop or two on our way to your place. We need to stop by McDonald's and grab something and then I need to drop it off to..." He pauses and looks at me for a second before continuing, "...a friend."

"Ok that's fine." I reply. I'm a bit curious as to who this friend is but I don't want to be nosey or anything so I keep quiet.

As said, we soon stopped by a McDonald's and grabbed some food before heading to Swagger's friend's house to drop it off.

I zoned out for a few minutes and then saw that we were parked in front of a 2-story house.

I hop out of the car and follow Swagger to the front door. He knocked and a few seconds later the door opens and the person inside looks at Eric and then at me, shocked.

I'm now making eye contact with the one and only, Jaren. (I was so tempted to put: "the man, the myth, the legend...Jaren!". I'm literally the weirdest person ever...)

A/N- hey! I had this chapter written a week in advance because I knew that if I didn't write it then, I'd end up spending Sunday night writing it while half asleep. It payed off, past me actually used their brain, I'm impressed tbh. Anyways, as I'm writing this quick a this note, it's about 4am, so unlike normal people, I'm going to continue to not sleep for the 3rd day in a row. I feel great, though the only reason I don't sleep is because I have tramatizing nightmares. Hope you enjoyed this chapter! I beraly proofreaded it so oops sorry. Bye now, ima go watch youtube/ bug my friends on snapchat cus I'm the actual worst!

(Also- thank you so much for 900+ reads! It's actually terrifying to know that so many people have read my book, but at the same time, it's incredible, thanks!)
