(Jaren's pov)
My parents would normally just text me if they wanted me to come home, there must be something serious going on.
I drive home and see an expensive car in the driveway, they have company? That's new.
I go inside and first thing I'm met with my parents and a particularly expensive looking woman sitting on the couch, waiting for me.
"Hello Jaren." The woman says to me.
I don't say anything, I look to my parents, they look nervous, that's also new.
"Who's this?" I ask them.
The two look at each other and sigh, "Jaren can we talk In the kitchen for a moment?" My mother says.
I walk into the kitchen and my parents follow me there. "What's going on?" I ask.
"Jaren, that woman over there is our friend, our very rich friend, and if you behave well enough, then maybe she'll give us some of her money."
I just stand there confused.
They sigh once again, "Let me rephrase that, that woman is-"
The woman interrupts and walk into the kitchen.
"Jaren, I am your mother."
