"It wraps around you.The truth.
Warms you up pretty good, like a mighty blanket, and you lose yourself to that feeling.
As senseless as they are. You accept things.
You accept them; in whatever form they come.Everything put aside, my biggest regret is probably not asking Rose from the start.
I was shoved into this train-wreck without any decent preparation.Maybe if I had a proper heart to heart with my sister, I'd have played my cards differently.
But let's leave it at that maybe.... When she'd said Matt was as much of a victim as she was. I didn't give it much thought. Because what's worse than an idiot than his supposed lover?"Katrina questioned, calm were her nerves, even solemn.
There were many layers to her accusations. Rose was no longer the role model for good decisions. And Matt never was. What more could she have said?"Nick said people have many faces. Look at Murphy for example. The first time I laid eyes on him I didn't think he would be able to hammer down a guy for messing up his juice order. But you never know, with split bald-headed guys it's never clear.
Nick had also said he remembers a different version of the Matt I'm projecting."
As level headed as she claims to be, Katrina couldn't resist going through everything Nick had said.
He did say many things. She, the gullible bambi-eyed fool had never questioned him."I don't know.
Between the crash and wreckage, trust was the least of my concerns"
She referenced back to her train-wreck metaphor, unable to color her feelings accurately.
"Having Nick by my side was like having a safety net I could jump towards.
That was what trust meant. Right?Of course now...
I understand it better.
Trust?It's more palpable to me..."
She nodded vigorously, the realization new to her as well.
"Borrwing Soph's car I headed to my designated location. My gut telling me to park a few miles down, it felt like I wasn't the type of guest that'd go through the front door. You know?"
