Perspective Patronum! Gracie's POV (Don't attack me, its a meme and this chapter was lowkey a last minute thought because I need to keep updating. The song Gerard is singing is the one in the cover)

I started thinking about Amelia again, and how she didn't really have a proper send off, so I decided to ask Loki if we could set something up for her here. "Sure." He says with a weak smile, I'm not sure if he thinks this is a good idea, but he still agreed. I got Frank and Gerard to come as well, they were her friends after all.

We set the funeral up in the woods, over by where I saw the 'ghost' of her. Since we didn't have her body, we made a form of monument, carving her name in the tree, placing flowers around it. We also carved her birthday and the day she died as well. This is now a sacred place for us, the place where Amelia is 'buried'. Rekindling these memories doesn't feel right, but it's her funeral so I guess we can. "Where can I start?" I say, my voice starting to shake. "Amelia was a great friend to everyone, she was brave, kind and funny. Even though its been almost a year, she will never be forgotten." I can basically hear Amelia making a smart comment about what I just said, saying about how we're just having a funeral for her now, instead of directly after we escaped. Nobody else really wanted to say anything, all of us looking down and swimming in small pool of sadness that we had created in memory of Amelia. Gerard was singing relatively softly, holding Franks hand. I can't stop thinking about how different things would be if she was still here, what would she be doing?  I sigh, leaning on Loki's shoulder. "Nice of you to think of Amelia like this." He says, getting a sad smile from me. "I just thought it was necessary, you know." He nods and kisses my cheek, before turning and walking away with the others.

"Do you want some time alone here?" He asks, I nod. I needed to just let this sink in, that I've made a funeral for someone, one of my best friends. I haven't seen her vision for such a long time, I'm starting to think it was just all a dream. Everything before Asgard seems like a nightmare, like something you'll forget as soon as you wake up, but this one was different, this actually happened, somebody is actually dead. Somebody will never have a family of their own or take another breath. This isn't a bad dream, this is reality where everything matters. People can die and never come back, things can happen that you can never repair or fix. But the main thing is that we're still alive, that we can make a change. We can save ourselves.
