Romans POV:
I saw Virgil collapse and quietly panicked. I lost him once, I'm not losing him again. Deceit and Logan rush by me as I bent down to pick up Virgil bridal style. Remy and Patton were also unconscious. Deceit tried to wake up Remy but he was out! So was Patton with Logan. We decided to wait until we got home to really try to get them awake. Thomas was asleep so that meant that the mindscape was dark and freezing. And it was a long ways home so I conjured some warm fluffy blankets and a car before we left.
"Do you think they'll be warm enough?" I asked worriedly.
"I think that they'll be just fine." Logan said, gazing down lovingly at Patton, who looked like a newborn puppy when he slept. I looked at Virgil and something seemed a little odd. I saw what looked liked blood but it was only there for so much time. When it disappeared, it looked like it healed and no mark or stain was left on his clothing.
"Hey, did you see that?!" I asked Deceit.
"I don't know, what was it?"
"Why aren't you lying" Logan asked.
"I don't think it's necessary for this situation."
"Ok whatever, my question is did you blood on Virgil's shirt disappear or not?"
"No" Deceit responded.
I sighed in frustration. Was it just my eyes playing tricks on me or was something wrong with Virgil? I had to know. It was driving me crazy. Logan drove us home though. About halfway through I asked,
"Do you guys think that the vampire Deceit saw might've bitten Virgil and maybe Remy and Patton?"
"Roman, you are being ridiculous. It most likely was a figure from one of Thomas's past nightmares. Nothing more than a frightening hallucination."
If it was nothing but a nightmarish hallucination, then why are we out here bringing Remy, Patton, and Virgil home from a creepy labyrinth?
But I kept my thoughts to myself, knowing that everything I say would just be debunked by Logan's reasoning. So the rest of car ride the awkwardly long and silent.

Narrator's POV:
By the time that they got home, Patton and Remy were awake and were good to walk to their rooms by themselves. Virgil however was still unconscious and Roman had to carry him back to the mind palace.
Patton looked at his dark strange son in fear of he might not be able to wake up.
"Is my son going to be alright?" He asked to Roman, with the eyes of an abandoned puppy.
"I'm positive that he will make it okay!" Roman said, assuring Patton that everything was going to be alright.
The entered the palace and to everyone who stepped inside, felt it was more different. More sinister. More scary.
It became a place they no longer comfortable in. But it was what they had. So they all went to their rooms and each couple held each other as firmly as though they were being pulled apart. With Roman and Virgil, Roman was exhausted from getting up this late at night, scrambling around to find his love, and carrying him upstairs and into his bedroom. (Roman's bedroom)
He held his hand and prayed that Virgil wouldn't die. He then closed his eyes and went to sleep...
