"Jinyoungie! Hurry up!" Mark whined, rocking on his heels as he stood by the front door.

"I'm coming, I'm just making sure I have space on my camera." Jinyoung stated, putting in his freshly emptied SD card and quickly following Mark out the door, the two on the way to their park 'date'.

Which Jinyoung refused to not call a 'date' since this was the only time him and Mark were truly going somewhere together just to enjoy one another's presence.

They had planned it for the upcoming weekend, when Mark was off of work and had all the time in the world to waste with Jinyoung. Jinyoung could barely sleep the night before, he was so excited.

They decided to walk to the park, enjoying the crisp air that filled their lungs. Mark was carrying a bag full of food, as the two also planned to have lunch in the park.

Jinyoung immediately labeled it as the staple "romantic picnic in the park" that all cute couples seem to do at some point.

And he couldn't be more excited. The only thing that would make it absolutely perfect is if they were actually a couple.

It's unfortunate how things were between them.

Though he wasn't gonna let the same dreary thoughts ruin his day. He was out with Mark, which was good enough. He relished in just walking near the latter, their arms brushing lightly against one another occasionally. Jinyoung easily got goosebumps.

And he didn't forget to use his camera. He was halfway out of his apartment building, when he already caught glimpse of a photo opportunity, an image of Mark walking down the city streets. His body was in focus, the stop lights and cityscape blurred in the background; Jinyoung wouldn't have been able to live with himself if he hadn't stopped to capture the scene. It got to the point where Mark complained about him stopping every five minutes, ultimately deciding to grab Jinyoung by the wrist and tug him along to hurry him up.

Jinyoung didn't mind it one bit. Their hands were so close, and all he could do was relish in Mark's tight grip on him.

They eventually made it to the park, which really wasn't that far, and they would've been there within 20 minutes if it weren't for Jinyoung turning it into nearly 40. They spent time walking around, talking and laughing about whatever came to mind, occasionally stopping for some more pictures because Jinyoung just couldn't get enough.

Mark was patient with him though, and he seemed to enjoy being photographed just as much as Jinyoung liked photographing him.

Time whizzed by, and before they knew it it was already evening, the sun waning down over the curve of the earth as the sky showed off its signature soft orange-blue fade. Mark and Jinyoung were playing around with a soccer ball when Jinyoung finally grew hungry, and he realized he hadn't eaten anything besides the donut he bought from a vendor earlier, and neither had Mark.

The two set up their picnics, sitting on the large towel Mark provided while Jinyoung dug into the bag for their drinks, snacks, and sandwiches they bought the day before. Jinyoung wanted to even capture Mark taking a sip of the coffee he bought, and he ended up doing so at which Mark scolded him for.

Jinyoung just laughed though. He didn't mind getting scolded if it earned him another physical memory of Mark.

A while had passed, the two just sitting there, gazing across the pond that stretched out in front of them. Jinyoung was halfway done with his sandwich when he took a glance at Mark, realizing that he'd only taken a few bites of his own. "Mark you're not eating?"

"Lost my appetite." Mark stated, eyes glued to the expanse of water a few feet away.

"You should still eat." Jinyoung stated, pushing Mark's sandwich closer to him. He needed the love of his life to be healthy, after all.
