chapter 13 - hospital visit (Part 2)

Damien punched Roger in his jaw, breaking it and causing teeth to fall out of his mouth. Roger screamed out in pain as Damien just eyed him with no sympathy. He didn't care about his pain. He cared about Pumpkin's pain as Pumpkin was still in mental agony about her first kill. He wondered how Pumpkin had killed his boss until he had seen the steel ruler that was in Pumpkin's hands. He then sneered at Roger. "Esmeralda will never to yours!" He told Roger harshly. Roger smirked at him despite his broken jaw.

"You can't stop me from taking what's mine," Roger sneered at Damien and he almost lost his cool until he remembered why he was even at the damn hospital in the first place. He gave Roger a cold look in prison.

"You're losing to jail," he told Roger with a simple, yet cold tone of voice. Roger had the perfect look of fear plastered on his face, making Damien want to laugh, but he didn't. "What? Did you think that I was going to let you get away with your crimes? I was fine when you came after me, but the moment you went after my love, it was already known that you had forfeited your friend, my friend," when Damien spoke to the word friend to Roger, it was with such harshness that made Roger look at him, begging for forgiveness.

"Please," he spoke to Damien. Damien gave him a dirty look.

"You're not even sorry," he told him, leaving the hospital so Nurse Hart could beat the ever living shit out of Roger for scaring her lover.

When Damien got a call from the police station about Nurse Hart being in jail for beating Roger to almost death, he commanded them to release her, saying that Roger had started with her first by messing with her lover. Nurse Hart thanked Damien in her own way and she went back home to reassure her lover. Damien knew how much Red loved Alicia. He could tell that Red loved Alicia as much as he loved Pumpkin. Speaking of her, Damien was wondering when she was going to finish baking the pies that she had promised to bake for Alana. Damien checked up on Pumpkin to see that she was almost done baking. "Hey, Dad," Alana had spoke all of the sudden, startling Damien.

"Oh, shit! Alana, you crazy maniac, I almost shot you!" Damien scolded Alana, who smirked up at him. She knew that Damien had good sense to not shoot first and ask questions later when it comes to her and Pumpkin. 

"Is he still alive?" She asked, referring to Roger. 

"Miraculously. He terrified Red's lover," he let the news sunk into Alana and when Alana had processed the information, she gave Damien a terrified look. 

"You mean her?" Alana asked. Damien nodded his head. Everyone who knew Red knew to stay out of her lover's sight if you were a dangerous criminal. People like Roger doesn't survive, but the only reason why Red left him alone in the first place was that Damien wanted him to go to jail. "Holy shit," she gasped out. Even Alana has sense to only approach Alicia in a polite manner. Quickly, she forgot the matter when Pumpkin brought her the promised pies. Alana's mouth started to water and she had Damien cut her a slice of pie. Damien rolled his eyes, but he amused his daughter by cutting her three slices out of the three pies that were made. "Thank you for adopting me!" Alana showed her true feelings as she dug into the pie slices.
