She is at Alexander's house as she does everyday after school. She sits on his bed and waits for him. He had left earlier then her and she wondered why so here she was. Still she knew that wasn't the complete truth. She didn't want to be at her house and her mother didn't want her at the hospital. She was almost lost in her thoughts when her ears jumped picking up the sound of laughter.

Alexander was laughing but he wasn't alone. She could hear the sound of another laughing with him. Not just anyone: Hayden Peridot. Lila knew this meant one thing that Alexander had taken to skinny dipping again and she should see her way out. She grabs her things and heads for the door.

She quietly leaves the room and goes down the hall.

"Leaving already, Ms. Monroe?"

The voice was almost unexpected as he was just sitting in a dark room.

"Yes, Mr. Winston."

"Young Mr. Luthor, is right outside if you would like for me to alert him of your presence."

"That will not be necessary, sir."

"Well perhaps you would like to wait in Mr. Luthor's study as I know he likes to have interest in your studies."

"I can just go home, I don't want to be a bother."

"No bother at all, In fact Mr. Luthor informed me not to long ago that he and your father were finished early today. So it wouldn't be a long wait. Nevertheless if you were to go home I am assures that it will be fine as your father would be there to welcome you."

"Well if your sure it will be okay than I shall wait in the study."

"As you wish."

Lila says her goodbye to Mr. Winston and heads done the hall. Turning the corner she heads down to the study and a pain fills her she can nearly stand. Something is squeezing the life out of her. Her breathing is shallow. She begins to topple over, clutching her throat, her body trying to inch itself in the direction of anyone who could help her. She need help and wasn't sure why.

Her eyes dim as she lays there unable to move. Faint footsteps are nearby, she hears shouting. She can't quite make it out. She opens her eyes and sees Mr. Winston shouting at the maid. He looked sort of green and strained; his lips read: close the study door.

Suddenly Alexander's hands are grabbing her and she hears his voice.

"Lila! What's wrong with her?"

"Take her to the parlor!"

"Shouldn't we call the"

"The parlor, Mr.Luthor!"

She feels herself being scooped into strong cold arms, her face is pressed against a bare slightly wet chest. As they move toward the parlor a pressure is lifted off of her chest. She takes a breathe. Her senses come flooding back to her.

"What with her, Lex?"

"Not now, Hayden."

The parlor doors are open and Mr. Winston swiftly moves pillows off the chesterfield. The pressure is completely gone and her shallow breathing had ceased as well. The deals were drawn and the sunlight beamed in her face keeping her eyes open. Her senses were flooding back to her as she felt her body lighten and perk up.

"Are you going to call the police?"

A damp cloth is placed upon her face as Hayden's question hits her ears. Mr. Winston quickly respond without an answer.

"Miss Peridot, perhaps it's best if you wait in Mr. Luthor's quarters."

"What? I'm fine here" She starts with a snippy response. "Lex, tell your serve"

Alexander quickly cuts her off. Before she can finish her statement.

"Hayden! Just wait in my room."

He moves Lila's wild hair out of her bronze face. She doesn't move but she can feel his heartbeat slowing as he senses that she is feeling better. She is about to try to hear his thoughts but Hayden speaks.

"Seriously, your banishing me to your room because of a panic attack this little freak is"

Lila hears almost silence. She felt Alexander move away from her the fastest he had ever moved. She opens her eyes to see him gripping Hayden's arm. He is whispering in a tone that is almost undetectable; almost.

"If you ever speak about her again I will make your life a hell you will never imagine."

Hayden's face turns to horror.

"Lex your hurting me!"

"You should be hurt." He whispers harshly.

Mr. Winston breaks the silence of the room with a meekly quiet: "Mr. Luthor."

Alexander's tone is harsh but his hand relaxes its grip on Hayden.

"Leave now!" He growls at her.

Her look is of utter disbelief as she grabs her purse and scrambles to the door.  He glances back and their eyes lock. Alexander has turned back towards her and hasn't yet noticed their cornea war. Lila doesn't look away she will not give her that satisfaction. Alexander must have noticed her glaze because he starts to turn around; Hayden sees him and breaks contact to run out. The parlor door slams behind her.

"Lila, are you okay?"

She looks up at Alexander to see him sitting by her side tightens her stomach. She nods.

"Are you sure, Miss Monroe?"

She looks toward Mr. Winston and squeaks out a soft yes in reply.

Alexander looks at Mr. Winston with a quizzical expression.

"What happened? Are we calling Dr. Calloway?"

"It was a panic attack Mr. Luthor. As long as she is feeling better there will be no need."

"It was as if there was no air around her and she was turning a palish green color. I have never seen a panic attack with those symptoms."

"Miss Monroe, has had a lot of stress lately Mr. Luthor did you take that into account?"

Reassure him Miss Monroe or there will be more problems than that slight attack.

Her eyes open widely. Her head jerks towards Mr. Winston.

Look away girl or you will give me away.

She glances down at her hands quickly. She gains her composure and looks up at Alexander. She moves her hand over his. He looks at her.

"Alexander, I'm fine."

She feels the breath he had been holding being released. His about to speak when the door opens. Mr. Luthor strides in; a file in his hand, his slightly curly hair slicked back, a smile upon his face, and her grim father trailing behind him. Mr. Luthor

"What is the commotion?" He says with the smile still upon his face.

"A panic attack ailed Miss Monroe."

"Are we calling Dr. Calloway?" Mr. Luthor asked Mr. Winston.

"No she's fine; ill just take her home. Her doctor knows about her attack. They are just from stress." Her father says.

Her body tenses as she realizes that he will now have to go to their home. She had never has any attacks before let alone any that a doctor knew of. She put on a slight smile; all that she can muster, thanks the Luthors and their staff and head to the door.

What's wrong child?

She puts her head done and hides her thoughts. She heads to his car tears streaming down her face. Her father's heavy footsteps are behind her. She shivers. It was going to be a long night.
