"So I heard that you insulted the Prime Minister of Canada and kicked his dog."

I laughed to myself. That was quick. One day back from Spring break and there were already rumors about me.

Jaehyun raised an eyebrow at me. "You didn't, right?"

"Of course not," I replied. "His dog was already injured. Can't say I didnt want to kick the dumb thing myself, though."

He tapped his pencil against his textbook, shifting his notes all over the library table. "I saw the news reports. Negotiations going well?"

I shrugged. "That's my mother's business. I don't care. What did you do on vacation?"

To be honest, I was glad to be back in classes. It was good to see people other than my brothers, my mother, and other rulers and diplomats that my mother invited over to keep up appearances. They were insanely boring people, and whether anyone believed it not, I was glad that there were two brothers ahead of me for the throne.

I didn't want anywhere near that hellhole.

After Jaehyun told me about his family's vacation in Eastern Europe, we got to work on the economics test coming up. I had to keep my grades up and keep away from any suspensions to keep coming to this academy. Mother had objected that I leave her claws, and it took half a lifetime to convince her to let me come here. At the moment I was in the top 5% in grades, I had a clean record, and multiple recognitions for my studies. I wasn't smart, but I was damn determined.

If I kept this going, I would never have to go back home.

"You're in my spot," a commanding female voice said behind me.

I sighed. There was only one thing that I didn't like about this academy.

Princess Hanna Lee.

She tapped me on the shoulder. "I said you're in my spot. What do you think you're doing?"

I looked over my shoulder to her usual pug-like frown. She was trying to look mean, but she just looked like an angry Pomeranian trying to scare off a Pitbull.

"I'm trying to study," I replied. "You know, that thing where you open a book and read things from it that apply to your academics. But you wouldn't know anything about that when you're too busy writing fiction."

Her eyes rolled to the side innocently. "What do you mean?"

I leaned back and folded my arms. "I kicked the Prime Minister's dog?"

She shrugged. "You hate dogs that have a high-pitched bark."

"Before that, I bullied an old lady from court, I hit the President of the United States with a golf ball, and I tell all my bodyguards to wear underwear full of itching powder as part of their training. You know this is slander, right?"

She pursed her lips. "Who said it was me? There are plenty of people who don't like you."

I hissed through my teeth. Sure, not everyone liked me, but Hanna was the only one to make up stories.

"How do you have a spot in the library anyways?" I asked. "You don't study."

"I do other things."

"Like what? Create stories about me?" I leaned forward. "You wanna talk about me that much?"

"You wanna talk about me that much?"
