"You did what?!" I snapped at Sally as we met up for lunch on my first day back under the rule of Peter.
"I did you a favor. I got you a date with one of the hottest guys I know. You're welcome" she laughed with an eye roll.
"I can't exactly be dating right now. Between work and Sandor I'm a little busy!"
"You can't keep rolling through life without anything real. You need to get out there, meet new people, meet guys. Live your fucking life".
"I don't need some guy in my bed to live my life. I'm happy with how things are".
"Liar" she scoffed.
"How am I suppose to explain my Sandor situation to some new guy. How exactly is this suppose to work out?"
"You get that weirdo out of your apartment and go out with his normal, extremely good looking and successful guy. It's not rocket science Berry".
"You can be a right bitch sometimes, do you know that?"
In the end I agreed to this stupid blind date and left work later on to try and find an outfit to wear.
"I'm going out tonight, I don't know what time I'll be back. Think you can work out the oven without burning down my apartment building?" I called out to Sandor from the bathroom.
"I ain't fucking stupid woman" he grumbled back.
Sighing at myself in the mirror, I finally came back out to find Sandor trying to work out the remote control for the TV.
"Its the red button" I mumbled and turned on the news.
Sandor wasn't looking at the TV anymore though, his eyes were now scanning up and down my body. After trying on every dress in my wardrobe, I had gone with my white high neck dress with dark detailing which ended just before my knees.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"I have a date".
"Date?"
"Yes, date. I'm going for dinner with a man. Sally has set it up, she thinks I need to go out more".
"Courting".
"Yeah, I guess".
"This man, do you know him?"
"No... not yet".
"And you are going like that?"
"Yeah... why? What's wrong? Is it too much? Too little? I fucking hate this" I panicked and flung myself down onto the sofa next to him.
"You women, this world, where I come from, women dont usually show that much..." he stopped and looked down at my legs.
"Yeah well, that's all I got. Does it look okay?"
Sandor just shrugged at me and turned back to the TV. With another heavy sigh, I grabbed my phone from the side and checked the time. Even if the dress wasnt good, i had no time to change now.
"You'll be okay? I won't be back late" I called out one last time as I reached the door.
"I'll be fine woman" he grunted without looking over at me.
"Cranberry, my name is cranberry. Not woman" I houghed to myself and opened the door.
"Cranberry" he suddenly called out.
"Yes... man" i smirked.
"I'd fuck ya".
Taking that as the only compliment I was likely to get from him, I quickly blushed and flashed a smile before finally closing the door behind me.
The restaurant I was told to go too was just a few blocks down from my place, so I decided to walk down and try and clam myself in the cooler evening air. When I finally reached the place, I told the host I was meeting someone under the name Costa and quickly shown through the restaurant and to a small candle lite table at the back.
Holy fuck, I was going to kill Sally.
