"Miss Silver?" A nurse announced as we sat in the waiting room.
"That's me" I sighed and stood up.
"If you could follow me" she smiled.
Dave quickly stood up and grabbed onto my hand as we followed her through the double doors and down several long corridors.
"I'm afraid he is still a little unhinged. He doesn't seem to know where he is and is very aggressive" she went on to explain as we entered a smaller office.
"Yeah, about that. I need to talk to someone as I have no idea who this guy is. I dumped into him on my way home from a night out, I must have dropped my business card".
"Oh, we weren't made aware of that. So you have no connection to this man at all?"
"That's what I've been trying to tell everyone".
"Excuse me one second".
The nurse quickly left the room leaving me alone with Dave.
"This is fucking ridiculous" I groaned.
"It'll get sorted" he smiled.
Ten minutes later the nurse came back in with one of the doctors.
"Miss Silver, I know this is a big inconvenience for yourself, but as you are the only one who seems to have any connection with the man, we were wondering whether you could speak to him. Find out some more information, a familiar face may bring him back to reality".
"You can't be serious".
"He doesn't know where he is, it's like he has come from another time. We believe he may have blashed his head, but until we get the scan results back we are in the dark. We can have people in the room with you and you will be safe".
"Its not like you've got anywhere else to be" Dave shrugged.
Sighing, I slowly rolled my head around and nodded. "Lead the way then".
Inside another room, the man in question sat at a table with his hands cuffed to it. He was looking around like a mad man, scared but also anger.
"Hello" I muttered when I walked into the room alone and sat down at the table. "Do you remember me?"
"Aye" he grunted.
"What's your name?"
"Sandor"
"Huh, we both have unusual names then. I'm Cranberry. The doctors say you dont remember anything. Do you know how you ended up in that side road? Where were you before that?"
"Black water bay. The fucking imp set the damned water on fire. Green flames everywhere. I was trying her away from them, my men were dying and I was heading back to the Keep. I fell and woke up in that... side road you mentioned".
Slowly, I pulled out my phone and opened the map app. When sandor saw the small screen light up, he quickly tried to back away from it.
"Its just my phone" I smiled.
"Phone?" He repeated
"Yeah, you know, to call people on. It has apps as well. Like camera, Instagram, maps".
Slowly, he leant back against the table and watched me suspiciously as I opened the map and placed it down on the table in front of him.
"Can you point to where black water bay is on the map? Is it in the US?"
"US? This map, this isn't Westeros" he mumbled.
Suddenly the door behind me opened and Dave came inside. "Pass me the phone" he ordered.
Carefully, I pulled the phone back from sandor and passed it to Dave. "What's going on?"
"I just realized where I've heard of Kings Landing and now Westros. Here, is this more of a map you know?" Dave asked and showed him an image of another map on my screen.
"Its okay, he's just my friend" I smiled to try and reassure Sandor.
"Aye, that's where I came from".
Dave sat down on the chair next to me and chewed his bottom lip. "That's a map from George R R Martin's books, Game of Thrones. There's a character called Sandor Clegane in the book. The Hound".
"Watch your mouth cunt" Sandor suddenly hissed.
"He thinks he's a character from a book?" I questioned.
"Seems like it".
Slowly, I pulled back my phone and moved to stand up. "We should probably tell the doctors".
"Wait - don't leave me here. Just tell me how to get back" Sandor suddenly roared with a slight panic.
"Westros is not a really place. It's a fictional map from a book. Something someone else made up and wrote about. You must be confused, the doctors can help you" I told him.
"No, its fucking real. I'm not mad - I dont know where I am or how i got here, but I'm Sandor Clegane, the kings dog. It's real".
Nervously I looked over to Dave and we both slowly left the room as he continued to shout out over and over again. "Its real, it's real, it's real!".
