Watching Sandor walk through the tunnel under the large ice wall was one of the hardest thing I have ever done. I was new to this world, but even I knew the dangers that would face them beyond this place. Still, I stood frozen in place, watching as they slowly disappeared out of sight, wishing he would turn around for one last look, but he never did.

When they had finally gone, the gateway was lowered shut. Now it was my turn to leave. I was told the journey to Winterfell would be a short one, just a days ride, but that didn't help to ease my nerves.

On our journey, it somehow felt like the weather had grown colder. I wasnt sure if it had actually had though, perhaps it just felt that way to me as I didn't have Sandor anymore. Either way, I wrapped myself tightly in the heavy furs the brotherhood had leant me and held tightly to my horse. We finally arrived at Winterfell in the darkness, but torches and fire burnt around the walls of the castle lighting it up as though day light had reappeared.

When the gates up, I followed quietly behind my brotherhood guides and nervous took in my surroundings. It was weird to see it all in real life, the castle I read about in Martin's book, it looked just like he had described.

"Samwell?" One of the brothers laughed out in amazement.

Suddenly, I short and very fat young man came running out towards us. "I never thought I be happy to see you again," he laughed and then quickly blushed as the brother pulled him into a tight hug.

"What are you doing here?" Samwell asked as they parted.

The brother told him about Jon Snow, how he had died and then somehow come back to life. He had since left the nightswatch and become the King in the North. With each second the fat young man become paler and paler.

"Did Jon get my letter about the dragon glass?"

"Aye, he even went to dragonstone and met Daenarys Targaryen. There's a team of men mining the shit whilst he and another group have headed beyond the wall to catch a white walker,"

"Catch a white Walker!?"

"Aye, day's he'll need it to prove to Cersi that the dead are coming."

The other men discussed the walkers for a few more minutes, until Samwell finally looked behind his friend to me.

"Some lady friend of the hounds... dont ask as I ain't got a fucking clue either," he scoffed.

"What's going on here?" A woman voice suddenly called out from the men.

"M'lady," they both smiled to her.

As the woman approached, I finally caught sight of her. The pale whiteness of her skin, like snow, but the red of her like fire. "You're Sansa Stark!" I scoffed out loud like some sort of idiot.

"Yes... and you would be?"

"Cranberry Silver... I'm... I'm a friend of the norths?" I squirmed.

"Again, what is going on here?" Ahe turned to Samwell.

"M'lady, this is one of the nightswatch. He was just bring Lady Silver here on orders of Jon Snow. She is a friend of... Sandor Cleganges. He has apparently travelled beyond the wall with your brother,"

"Is that so and a friend of Sandors? I didn't think he had any... friends," she turned to look back at me with curious suspicion.

"It is true. I guess we find strange friends in strange places at times like this," I shrugged, not knowing what else to say.

"I suppose we do. Come with me, I'll have someone find you a room and a warm meal."

After saying goodbye to the other two men, I quickly followed Sansa, trying to keep up with her wide and elegant strides across the castle courtyard. Once inside, her stride slowed down though and she came to wall by my side.

"So how did you come to met Sandor? I had honestly assumed him dead."

"I was with a group of people, south of here. They were building a sept for the seven. They allowed me to join them and then one day Sandor arrived. We all lived together for a while, until our camp was ransacked and we were the only ones that survived,"

"And he just took you under his wing?"

"I suppose so,"

"And the people in this camp. They weren't originally your people?"

"No, I'm come from somewhere far away,"

"The free cities?"

"Yeah... something like that."

We had stopped walking now and to my side was a closed wooden door. "Well you can take this room. I will send someone to bring you food and water for a bath. Will you require anything else tonight?"

"No... that's fine... thanks,"

"Yes, well welcome to Winterfell Lady Silver."
