"This is some fire worshipping shit." Sandor scoffed.
"Its worth a shot." I shrugged.
He only scowled again, but finally stepped over to the fire.
"Alright, just look into the flames I guess. Try to picture yourself back in Kings Landing. What happened next?" George whispered.
All three of us remained deadly silent as Sandor bent down and looked into the flames. From behind, I could see his shoulders moving up and down as his breathing became more heavy.
"I walked into the courtyard, and the King and Imp were there. They were ordering me to return to the fight, but I wouldn't. I knew after that I had to leave or end up with my head on a spike, so I stormed into the castle. I was planning on going to the little bird, Sansa. I figured I could take her with me, keep her safe and maybe get some coin for her from her brother. I can see it now, I'm working towards the castle doors, but when i open them... it's dark. The door closes behind me, but I'm not in the Keep. I'm in that alleyway... it's... it's snowing."
"Its fucking July" Dave scoffed and I quickly hit him on the arm.
"Everything's covered in snow. I can hear roaring, like thunder from the sky. Theres some red comet flying overhead... what the fuck... I can see the wall. That can't be..."
Suddenly he flung himself back from the fireplace and turned to stare at me. This eyes wide with almost fear as his breathing grew even more heavy. "I saw you."
"We should go to this alleyway, see if we can find this doorway." George smiled as though he had not heard Sandor.
Nodding, I slowly stepped away from Sandor and followed Dave back out to his car. This time, I took the back seat with Sandor whilst Dave and George chatted away in the front.
"Bet you didn't think youd be doing this yesterday?" Dave smiled at him.
"No, this certainly isn't anything I could have imagined before. The idea that one of my characters has moved into our reality. Its insanity and fantasy mixed up in one. It is vital he returns to his reality though, his storyline, although small, is so important in aiding the more main characters to their destiny. Without him I'm not sure how things would all work out."
"Well shit. I'm a big fan by the way... Hey, can you tell me who Jon Snows mom is?"
After another long drive we finally ended up back in the city and at the entrance of the little alleyway where this had all started. It had felt like a lifetime ago since I had hid behind the trash cans and then ran away from the man who would later share my bed. Man, it had been a crazy few months.
"This is the door" Sandor announced as we finally stopped at the end of the alleyway.
"It's just a fire exit for the bar..." Dave scoffed.
George remained silent as they all began examining the door. I knew there wasnt much point though, it was just a door after all. No, this wasnt about the door. The way Sandor had entered our reality, that was what we should have been focusing on. Suddenly, everything we had learnt began repeating in my mind as I stepped back from the group and started mumbling to myself.
"Fire... he was running from fire..."
"You okay over there?" Dave called back.
"This isn't going to work."
"Oh yeah, you got any other ideas?" He scoffed again.
"Sandor... you said when you were escaping the fire when you went though the door and ended up here. I mean, this door, it's not going to open up to Kings Landing, it's just a fire exit like Dave said. I think... I think we need to recreate your surrounding."
"What?" Dave shook with confusion.
"We need fire. We need to make a fire where the only way of escaping is through another doorway."
"And how exactly are we going to do that?" Dave laughed.
"I have an idea," George smiled.
