I looked to the top of the stairs. I saw my dad aiming the gun at me, I looked at him shocked as he pulled the trigger. I moved to the side as the bullet skinned my shoulder. It hurt like hell. I ran outta the house and held my shoulder as I ran to the Curtis's. They were on their way to my house, I ran up to them and into Pony's arms. "Y/N what happened!?" He exclaimed. "My dad came home with a gun, and he found me so he pushed me down the stairs an-" I was cut off by a gunshot. I turned around and started running back to my house as they followed me. Ponyboy was the only one able to catch up to me. I ran back into the house and saw my dad laying on the floor, he shot himself in the leg and had callen the police. I dropped to my knees, crying. Ponyboy was trying to comfort me. Pony had realized my dad still had the gun in his hand and ran over and grabbed it. When the police got there, Ponyboy was holding the gun and it didn't look so good. My dad began to yell, "They shot me! They shot me in the leg!" I was too shaken up to respond, me and Ponyboy were put into cuffs and taken to the station. I wouldn't talk to anyone after that. Me and Ponyboy were put into different cells but luckily they were next to each other. He was put into one with a few boys and I was put into one with a few girls. Dally came to visit us as soon as he found out we were hauled in which was the next morning. He ran up to the cells and yelled at us, "What were you kids thinking?!" I looked up at him and walked over to the bars. I still wouldn't talk. One of the girls I was in with said "Aye buddy she ain't talkin so good luck gettin' words out of 'er." Dal looked at Ponyboy, "What did you guys f**king do?!" Ponyboy looked down, "Her dad came home with a gun and shot her then shot himself and put it on us when the fuzz got there.."

"And- and I was holding the gun.." Ponyboy whispered. Dally was shocked, he looked at me "You were shot kid? Are you alright??" I shrugged and reached my arm through the bars to hug Dally. I began to cry again. For a minute I knew he just looked at Ponyboy until he shrugged and wrapped his arms around best he could. The bars in the way were really annoying. It was almost as if we were both hugging the bars of the cell. I tried to pull back so he'd let go of me and he did. One of the officers walked by and Dal yelled at him, "When are these 2 kids gettin' out?" as he pointed to both me and Ponyboy. The officer looked at the both of us and then looked at Dal, "Sorry, I don't know go to the front desk or somethin man." Dally looked pissed off and walked away cursing. I assumed he went to the desk where the officer said he could find out. I looked at Ponyboy, he looked down and sighed. "Y/N I'm sorry for getting you hauled in. I shoulda took the blame. I can't stand you being stuck in here." He said. I reached my arm through the cell and tried to comfort him. I had to admit, tryna comfort someone without being able to talk from trauma and not to mention the metal bars blocking us. He looked up at me with a small smile on his face. Dally came storming back, "You kids have'ta go to court." We looked at him, "What? Court, why??" Ponyboy said. Dal shrugged, "I dunno, kid. Have your brothers been here?" Pony shook his head and sighed. "Well I'll get Dar down here." Dal said as he ran out the door.
