Caitlin and Johnny told us about some stuff we missed and then they headed out to the drive in considering it was Saturday. Me and Ponyboy looked at each other, "S-so what are w-we?" He asked. I shrugged, "I dunno.. What do you wanna be?" He shrugged, "M-more than friends?" I blushed, "Really?" "Yeah, Y/N I've liked you for a while and-" I cut him off and hugged him, "Me too" I said. "So are we-" "Together?" I finished his sentence, "Yeah, if you wanna be." He smiled, "Alright then, we're together now." I looked at the clock, "It's only 11am and the guys aren't gonna be back anytime soon so what do ya wanna do until they come back?" He shrugged, "Mmm I dunno," We were interupted by banging at the door. I peeked out the window, it was the fuzz. "Ponyboy we gotta hide!" I whisper yelled. "Where?" He said, "The back door, let's go!" I grabbed his hand and ran to the back door, once we both got out I slowly closed it so it wouldn't slam and the cop wouldn't know we were there. We ran to a small lake that was a few miles behind Pony's house. There was a bunch of trees around there and at one spot we could be alone and unseen. "So..?" He asked, "So, what?" I said, not taking my eyes off the water. "So what do we do now?" I shrugged, "We coulllld play with the sand, or the water...orrr." I stopped myself from finishing that sentence. "Or we could watch the clouds moving in the sky." He added, "Yeah or that." He layed down on the sand, I layed next to him as he grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him. We layed like that for a while, atleast until we both had fallen asleep.
