Lauren's POV:

"So, who was that cute guy you were talking to?" My best friend, Stevie Wisz asked.

"Jeez Stevie, let me sit down first."

"Lauren is talking to someone?" My other teammate, Bubba Nickles asked.

I shushed them before the whole bus would hear.

"I'll tell you later in the hotel room but, for now can you guys not say anything?"

Stevie and Bubba groaned.

"Fine but, this boy better be cute Lauren." Bubba grumbled as she sat behind Stevie and I.

We arrived shortly to our room. And as soon as I closed the door my friends bombarded me with questions.

"Holy crap, hold on." I said.

"Come on Lo, we don't have all night." Bubba whined.

"Ok, ok. The boy I met is my dad's friend son and he plays baseball."

"Ooooooo, he's a keeper already." Bubba said.

"What's his name?" Stevie asked as she started munching on Goldfish.

"Don't freak out if when I tell you ok?"

"Yeah, yeah just tell us." Stevie said impatiently.

"His name is Cody Bellinger." I said, praying they wouldn't freak out. But boy I was wrong.

"NO WAY!" Bubba shouted.

"Are you being serious? The Cody Bellinger that plays for the Dodgers?"

I nodded as I grabbed clothes to change in.

"DATE HIM ALREADY." Bubba practically screamed.

"Jesus Christ, Bubba. I literally just met him and I don't know if he's taken or not."

"Well, since spring training is here let's go watch them practice." Stevie suggested.

"Can we please go Lo."

"I mean, I guess since our game doesn't start until seven tomorrow."

My friends squealed in excitement.

"Ok, if you will excuse me now, I have to shower so, I can go eat with my family."

Even though we were on the road, my coach let us hang out with our family or teammates after games. As long as we didn't have an early game or too much homework do. Since, school was the top priority for us, along with family. Luckily for me, I managed to finish the majority of my school work on the bus.

I took a quick shower and put on some black jeans with a plain white tee and a blue flannel. For the finishing touches, I put my wet hair in a bun and applied some simple makeup on. As, I grabbed my phone off its charger my dad texted me that he was close. I waved goodbye to my teammates and dashed to the elevator.

I hopped into my dad's truck, who arrived just in time.

"Hey dad. Thanks for the ride."

"Of course. By the way great job today, I think you really impressed the Bellingers."

And by, Bellingers he probably means Cody.

I rolled my eyes and lightly hit him on the arm. "Let's not talk about boys please."

"I'm just saying if you two dated, I wouldn't be mad."

"Can we please change the topic." I laughed. To my dismay, I could feel a blush creep it's way on to my cheeks.
