Lauren's POV:

"Let's go!" I shouted at Stevie

"Jeez, give me another five. I need to fix my hair."

"Ok fine. But can you hurry up? We already missed half of their practice."

"Ok, ok I will."

"Thank youuuu." I sang out.

"Didn't know you were this excited to see him again."

I ignored her comment and sent a quick text to Bubba asking her to come down to our room.

A few minutes later, the three of us were ready to head to the field. Stevie ordered an Uber as, Bubba figured out what time we had to be back.

"Ok so, our game starts at 7 and coach wants us there at 5. And it's 1:30. So, let's leave around 4 ok?"

"Sounds good." I nodded.

"You ready to see your boy, Lo?"

I rolled my eyes, "He is not my boy. Plus, Alex keeps hitting me up."

"Seriously?" Bubba asked.

"Didn't he break up with you though?"

"Yeah, it's weird."

Alex was my ex. We dated for two and a half but he broke it off because I was too 'flirty' with guys. When, in reality he was just being possessive and jealous. And right after our break up he went to go hook up with a couple of girls afterwards. Now, Alex is texting me saying that he's sorry and that he misses me like crazy.

Even though he broke it off a couple months ago, a small part of me misses him. An almost three year relationship is pretty long so, of course a part of me wants to go back to him. Plus, it doesn't help that he has been texting me lately.

"Please, don't tell me you're still into that jerk." Stevie said.

I stuttered a bit, "It's complicated. I spent more than half of college with him. So, of course I miss him."

"But c'mon Lo, he hooked up with like five girls right after you and now he wants you back for what?" Bubba added.

"I don't know." I mumbled.

Soon, the Uber came shortly and I mentally flushed the topic of Alex out of my head.

You're going to see the Dodgers practice and possibly meet up with a major leaguer. You don't need that fuck boy in your life again. I thought in my head as we drove down to the field.

When we arrived the three of us climbed out of the car and thanked the driver.

I couldn't help but be excited to watch my favorite baseball team of all time practice.

Next to me, Bubba was slightly fan girling as walked in.

"Can we sit away from the crowd?" Stevie asked.

"Sure." I simply replied and headed down towards the right field line.

The field wasn't too crowded which was great because we could get a decent spot for coming very late.

"Look it's Cody." Bubba pointed out as she vigorously tapped my arm.

My eyes fell on the tall baseball player. Cody was standing in right, shagging balls during bp.
He looked so relaxed practicing with a hundred people watching him.

"I'm gonna scream his name." Stevie whispered.

"No no! Lets not do that please." I begged. I wasn't in the mood to be embarrassed.
