Lauren's POV:

It has been about two weeks since we've came back from Arizona and that was the last time I've seen Cody. Well, in person. We've been texting and calling each other over the two weeks. But Alex on the other hand hasn't texted me once and I don't know if that's a good thing or not.

Now, it's Friday and I have another game against the University of Oregon tonight. Thankfully, it's home this time. So far in this series it's tied. We lost the first game 3-4 and the second game we won 8-3.

I just finished up my notes for my History class and went to go get ready.

In the process of braiding my hair, Stevie yelled throughout our small dorm room, "Lauren, I think Cody is trying to FaceTime you!"

"What the-ok give me a second!" I shouted back at her from the bathroom. That's weird. I thought. We've never FaceTimed each other before and even if Cody wanted to he probably would've asked me to. Because before he calls, he always asks if it's ok and to make sure he isn't interrupting something important.

"I'm answering it!"

"Bruh." I muttered.

As I came out of the bathroom, I could hear Corey's voice and someone else's voice that wasn't Cody's.

"Wait, that's Lauren? I thought she was a brunette?" The unknown voice questioned.

"I'm not Lauren dumbasses." Stevie sassily snapped.

"Makes sense."

"Where's Lauren?" A possible Corey Seager asked.

"I'm here. I'm here." I answered, my hands still tangled in my hair.

"Oh so you're Lauren? You came by one of our practices right?" The unknown voice asked who turned out to be none other than Joc Pederson.

"Yeah and you're Joc Pederson." I stated. Holy fuck. Professional athletes are FaceTiming me right now.

"You got that right sweetheart." He replied.

"Where's Cody?" Stevie asked for me.

"Somewhere in the lockeroom. I don't know. We took his phone and wanted to FaceTime Cody's crush so."

"Doesn't he have a password?" I asked, completely ignoring the part about being Cody Bellinger's crush.

"No he's dumb." Joc stated bluntly.

"Actually, we put our fingerprints on his phone before he changed his password." Corey corrected.

"Smart move." Stevie commented.

"Y'all got a game tonight?" Joc asked. Jeez, he loves asking questions doesn't he.

"Nah, we dress up like this for fun." I said sarcastically.

Stevie caught on, "Yeah, we actually do. It's really fun to walk around campus in our full uniform."

I looked at my phone to see Joc really confused and Corey trying to figure us out.

"Wait, like seriously?" Joc asked.

"Like seriously." I replied with a serious look on my face. "Sometimes people ask us to take pics with them."

"Joc have you seen my phone?" Another voice popped out.

"No." He answered.

Then the screen went black as Joc pressed the phone into his stomach.

"Oh you little bitch." The voice responded.

It's definitely Cody.

"Give it back."
