Lauren's POV:

I just got off the phone with Cody and I was silently freaking out. He invited me to a party. Not just any party, a party with basically the whole Dodger team. I don't know how I'm gonna stay calm being in the same room as them. Hell, I don't know how I'm still calm with Cody Bellinger texting me daily.

Anyways, I pulled Stevie and Bubba to the side after practice. "What are you guys doing this Saturday night?"

"Probably just studying or gonna drag you guys somewhere." Stevie answered.

"I think I have a family thing going on why?"

"Cody just asked me to go to a party and told me I could bring you guys."

"No fucking way!"

"Holy shit? You're for real?"

I shushed them and they both gave me looks. "Be quiet. I don't want people to know."

"Fine that's reasonable." Bubba said.

"Wait aren't they in spring training though?" Stevie asked.

"Not anymore, they just finished and now they have the weekend off. So, Joc and Kíke decided to throw a party for Opening day."

"Are you sure we won't be like intruding on anything." Stevie asked.

"I double checked with Cody cause I feel the same and he said Joc said it was ok so we'll be fine." I reassured.

"Fuck, I don't know if I can even go." Bubba pouted.

"It's fine bubs, Lauren and I can send you pics with Corey." She teased.

"I already met him loser." Bubba stuck out her tongue.

"My bad ma'am."

"Well just let me know Bubba. I'm sure there's gonna be another party or something." I said in my efforts to make her feel less sad.

"You better date his ass so there's more parties to go to."

"Bro you can't even drink yet." Stevie added.

Bubba just shrugged her shoulders, "Touché"

It's the day of the party and Stevie and I were running around our dorm trying to piece together cute outfits. I ended up wearing a black off the shoulder shirt, high waisted jeans, black heeled boots and a black belt to match.

I shower Stevie my outfits and she gasped, "You look cute."

"Thanks but you sure this is like fine?" I mumbled.

Stevie took notice of my nervousness and set down her hair curler. She grabbed my shoulders, "Sweetie, you look absolutely stunning and I'm sure Cody will think so too. You have nothing to worry about."

I nodded my head, agreeing with her. "You're right."

"Like usual." She joked, flipping her hair.

I rolled my eyes, "Finish your hair please, I need to do my makeup."

"Roger that cap." She saluted and walked back into our tiny ass bathroom.
