I woke up to my phone's ringtone 'Talk Too Much - by Coin' and it appeared as an "Incoming call from Corey Scherer". I answered the phone with a grumbled sounding, "Hello?"

"Good morning! Dev and I are on our way to your house. We're about thirty minutes away, but like I said if we doing the departure tomorrow, we have to get this all done today."
Corey sounded all bright and bubbly already. Honestly I'm surprised because usually he was the one who was up a little later, you know, since he was a boy.

"Jeez Corey, what time did you get up?" I yawned as I joked with him, "It's like 7:30 but I'll try and get ready before you get here."

He snickered, "Alright cool, see ya soon." and hung up with a very brief goodbye.

I got up and got my lazy ass out of bed. I went to the bathroom to go clean myself up for the morning. I picked out a white crop top, jean shorts, birkenstock shoes, a golden necklace and a scunchie for my outfit.

I was finishing the final touches of my makeup. It didn't look nearly as good as Devyn's Instagram photos. It was around 7:59 a.m. and I heard the doorbell ring loudly throughout my parent's house. Wow, Corey is actually on time.

You know, this whole thing seemed super rushed to me. But if I was going to do this at any point in my lifetime, it's now. I gotta make everyone else's schedule work with my own, because that's how adult life is.

I opened the door to be greeted by Corey and Devyn. "Good morning, kiddo." Corey patted my head just like how he used to when we were younger. "Where are your parents?"

"Working. They work on the weekends sometimes. I had a conversation about this with them after you called last night." My parents did work a lot, but we have a pretty nice home in Florida so I won't complain.

"Oh gotcha. So since you live here still, it might not be that hard to get most of your stuff packed. I'm assuming it's just mostly clothing, and your girly stuff." He smiled and turned back towards Devyn.

"Yeah it's not much, I could've done it myself- but you insisted. I haven't seen you in so long either that it'll give us time to catch up a little bit too." I started to pull out my clothing from my closet and placed it into some boxes that Corey brought over.

"Yeah, it'll be great. I hope that you and Devyn will be close too, since she lives in the Traphouse with us. You know? It's mostly guys but she's been holding up by herself."

"I'm sorry, did you just call it the-, the Traphouse?" I've never been so confused. But that just gives me one more reason to think Los Angeles is quite the hand full.

"Yeah," Devyn giggled, "It's just something that the guys made up originally and I guess is stuck with the house ever since. You'll love it there, I promise."

"I hope so, that makes me a little more excited." Who was I kidding, I wasn't a little excited, I was over the moon excited about this.

- a short time skip -

"That should be the last box. What time is it anyway?" I huffed as I set the last box into Corey's car.

"It's about 9:30 p.m. Vi. We spent all day doing this thing with you." Corey insisted on the this next part 100%, "How about we catch some dinner to celebrate? What about the best pizza joint there was when we were growing up? We freakin' loved that place!"

Corey was right, I did love pizza. So there was no way I was about to pass up that offer. "Hell yeah, let's do this just like we used to!"

Author's Note:

Eee, still kind of the boring parts. Just leading up to when she leaves. I have a plan for the next chapter and that should maybe be a longer one. But in the next chapter, it may be Violet's first encounter with the Traphouse!
