It was now about 6:30 p.m. Tara and I had been out shopping all day. I can't believe she convinced me to buy some pretty risky stuff that I would've never personally picked out by myself. Funny thing is, I love all of it.

We pulled back into the drive way of the Traphouse and Tara dropped me off. "Alright I'll see you soon, I'll be back in about an hour. I'll get my outfit on from home. I should've brought it here."

"Sounds good." I waved, "See you soon."

I still didn't have a key to the house. Maybe that's what I should've asked Sam for. I walked up to the doorbell with a bunch of shopping bags in my hand. Colby answered the door. "Hey."

"Hey." We just stood in an awkward silence for a minute. "Uh, sorry. Come in." I didn't say much after. I just kinda pushed past him but I probably should've asked him for help. Actually no, I'm a strong woman. I can do this myself.

Sam saw me walk in as I was making my way to the stairs, "Hey Violet. Welcome back! I'm sure Tara spoiled the plan for tonight." He was setting up some decorations near the entrance and Corey was setting out solo cups in the kitchen.

I dashed up the stairs. I couldn't wait to show off my outfit. As soon as I got upstairs, I began to remove the tags from the clothing and put on the outfit that Tara suggested I should wear tonight for the party.

I did my hair and put my makeup on. I spent a little bit of time checking myself out in the mirror. I haven't worn anything like this ever. I didn't want to go downstairs right away either, so I planned on waiting until more people were over.

I went through my camera roll and looked at the few pictures that Tara and I took while we were at the mall. I took my favorite of her and I, posted it and captioned it:

' sistaaaaa (: '

I noticed right away that Ethan and Amelia liked the photo. Shit, I've forgotten all about them since I've been in L.A. It's only been a few days but I said I would tell them everything and so much has happened already. I quickly made a group chat on Snapchat, sent a photo of my face captioned:

' Hey guys! I'm so sorry I haven't been able to let you know how thing in LA have been going. I've been busy since I moved here. I miss you both. '

After that, I didn't plan on checking my phone for a while. I clicked the power button and plugged my phone in next to my bed.

-time skip-

I finished messing around upstairs, and made my way down. It was now about 7:45 and I tried to make a little bit of a dramatic entrance. I saw Kat and Tara nearby the doors to the backyard and ran over to say hi.

"Hey!" I squealed as I awkwardly scooted over to them in my thigh high boots. "You look amazing, omg." Kat looked me up and down and gave me a hug. "Thanks, Tara actually styled it while we were at the mall earlier." Tara shrugged her shoulders and smiled. "You guys look stunning too."

The doorbell rang and I went to go answer the door but Aaron stopped me. "Trust me, you don't want to answer the door." I stepped aside and watched some people flood into the Traphouse. "Hah, thanks for sort of saving my butt."

Aaron jokes around but he was serious at the same time, "No problem. You just have to get used to the ways of the Traphouse. Especially when it comes to parties and crazy stuff. You look great by the way."

I smiled, but quickly scooted away into the kitchen to go speak with Sam, "This place fills up fast huh?" Most of the people were hanging out by the backyard doors and singing to 'Congratulations by Post Malone'.

"Yeah, hah. Actually, this isn't a lot of people. There's probably more coming. There's a few people that I'd like you to meet tonight, or maybe you'll run into them on your own. If you need anything just let me or someone know." Sam scratched the back of his head. Apparently he had gotten ready while I was upstairs messing around. Last time I saw him he was wearing a yellow shirt and khaki shorts. Now, he was wearing zipper pants and a red shirt. I fit him well.

I told Sam I'd be right back. I wanted to go upstairs to go reapply some perfume and to make sure I didn't look like as much as an idiot as I probably did.

I was praying that I wouldn't run into anyone on my way upstairs. Boom. Of course my luck doesn't ever work out the way I want it to.

"I'm so sorry. I was just going upstairs because I forgot something."

Author's Note:

Hey! I'm kinda mad that Instagram isn't really letting me post right now on my fan account. I kinda hope the issue gets fixed soon. But because of that, I've been able to write more chapters, so this one is another one that's longer. Aside of all of that, who does Violet run into as she's going upstairs?
