kierra stood in the shower, staring at the ground as the dirt and blood filled the bottom of the shower. she watched it slide down the drain, closing her eyes and wincing at the harsh memories and screams of her people.

she stepped out the shower and dried off, putting on the oversized shirt. she carried her dirty clothes to the kitchen where ace sat, looking up at her arrival.

"you don't have any pants i can borrow?" she murmured, looking at her legs as he hummed.

"i can go down to the market and get some later. but all of mine would be too big." he tore a piece of the alligator meat on the table. "i cooked us something to eat."

she sat down as he rose and took her dirty clothes, leaving her alone in the room. kierra tore a piece of alligator meat, chewing it slowly before the savor of the flavors took over and she began to eat hungrily. ace returned to the remainder of bones, kierra laid out on the floor snoring. he scoffed in amusement, picking her up and carrying her to his bed. he laid her down, closing the door to his room before walking to the table. he grabbed his hat and left, walking down the mountain and to the market.

kierra woke slowly, sitting up and looking around the room. she stepped out of bed cautiously, peeking open the door. she spotted ace at the table, his back facing her as she crept towards him. she knelt down to his level, staring at his snoring face in confusion. she poked his nose gently, ace showing no sign of acknowledgment. she repeated the action, opening his eye. he blinked, twisting his face before personally opening his eyes. he fell back in alarm, kierra screaming and leaping back as well.

"what's wrong with you?!" she screamed.

"me?! why are you watching me?!"

"i wasn't watching you!"

"then why were you so close to me?!"

"why are you sleeping at the table?!"

"you were in my bed!"

"you put me there!" she snapped back, balling her fist. "you wanna fight?!"

"why is that your first resolution?!" he huffed, tossing forward a paper bag. she caught it, opening it carefully to see clothes neatly folded inside.

"i went down to the market and got you somethings last night." he explained as she pulled out a flower blouse, narrowing her eyes.

"what is this?" she scowled, ace grinning.

"i thought you might want something pretty!" he grinned as she threw the blouse at his head.

"i don't wanna wear this shit!" she snapped. "how much was this?"

"it doesn't matter!" he roared. "i got you clothes and the least you could do is be grateful!"

her eyes narrowed as she approached him, leaning down to snatch up the blouse. she glared up at him for a moment, ace locking gazes with her as she suddenly tackled him.

"what are you doing?!" he snapped as she forced the blouse over his head, ace finally able to push her off as he looked down at the flowered blouse.

"what is this?!" he yelled as she crossed her arms, flicking her tail back and forth.

"how do you feel, fool?" she smirked, ace tearing the blouse off and throwing it on the ground.

"fine!" he snapped. "we'll go get something else...later."

"later?!" she snapped, opening the door. "i'll go now, stupid." she stuck out her tongue, slamming the door. ace opened it to find her gone, gritting his teeth.
