Miley's POV
"Hey babe, I made you some breakfast." Liam says as I walk out of our bedroom into the kitchen. "Well, I guess it's more like lunch. You slept in." I look at the time and it's a little after 11am.
"Oh...well can you blame me? Considering what fucking day it is? I'm a little depressed."
Today is Griffin's birthday, also the day we lost him. It still breaks me, I'm still upset everyday. I try so hard, but I still feel an emptiness inside of my heart.
"Come here." Liam pulls me in for a hug and I start to cry. "I know babe, when I realized what day it was I got emotional too."
"I guess I should call Noah and tell her to tell Logan happy birthday from us."
"Is she having a party?"
"I don't know, I think she told me yes when I talked to her a couple days ago." I reply.
"Okay, I just put the Legos in a gift bag, I'm not great at the whole wrapping presents thing."
"That's fine. Where are the kids?"
"Outside playing. They remember what day it is too, Miley."
"Really?" Liam responds with a nod. "Oh..."
"They miss him too." Liam says, then kisses my forehead. "I hope you're fine with pancakes."
"That's fine, yeah." I go to grab a plate but Liam stops me. "What are you doing?"
"Sit down, I'll get it."
"I'm perfectly capable of getting my own food, you know that right?"
"I know, just sit down. Orange juice?"
"Yes please." I answer.
"Good because that's all we have, I should run to the store."
"You should take Leo with you. Have some father son bonding."
"That's a good idea. I'll clean up and then go." Liam says, handing me my food and juice.
"You really didn't have to do that."
"Maybe not, but that doesn't mean I can't."
"Okay, whatever." I say. I'm trying to avoid any arguments today, whether it's about pancakes or anything else. I just want a somewhat calm day.
"Leo, want to go with me to the store?" Liam says, poking his head out to the backyard.
"Yes!" Leonardo comes running into the house and runs straight to the front door.
"Hey, can't I get a hug?" I ask, and Leonardo comes running over to me. He runs to give me a big hug and trips on his shoelace. "Slow down there Leo, and tie your shoes." Leo laughs, making me laugh a little. After he gives me a big hug and I kiss his forehead he ties his shoes.
"Bye babe, text me if you think of anything we need." Then Liam kisses me passionately on the lips. "Or if you want anything."
"Bye."

"Leo you're pretty quiet, something on your mind?" I ask Leonardo, looking in the rear view mirror at him.
"Nope."
"You sure?"
"Yup."
"Well we're here, are you gonna help shop?"
