Lucinda's point of view
I couldn't sleep. My eyes were forced open as I stared at the ceiling. Everything that happened goes through my mind in a blur.
But... but the blood... so much of it, just dripping down his chin as he tore that poor animal apart.
I've seen blood before.
Heck, I have killed before. But... but... it was just so... terrifying. Watching him. He was so animalistic, the little clothes he did wear were ripped, covered with blood splats...
I was arguing with him. I insulted him. I could have been just like that deer, nothing but a corpse as the beast gnawed on my bones. I-
My eyes widen as I look next to me at my peacefully sleeping sister.
I even let Belle be in the same room as him. I risked her life, being so reckless with my words. I could have gotten us killed. Gotten Isabelle killed...
I grimace at the thought.
Never again, I will not make that mistake again.
Never.
~~~
Morning...
I groan and sit up. I wince as I stared at the mirror across from me, my eyes red from lack of sleep.
Funny, I don't remember that there last night... the mirror, I mean.
Sighing, I fall back onto the comfy bed and close my eyes.
Why can't I just stay in bed...?
I flip over onto my stomach and yawn. "Isabelle, I think I'm going to sleep for a little bit longer..." I mumble and nuzzle into the soft feather filled pillow. My eyes crack open after a few seconds of silence. "Isabelle?"
I sit up and look around the room. Yet... she was no where to be found. Perhaps she was using the restroom? (A/N: I have no idea what they were called back then, but if you do know please correct me).
I sit up and stand. Once I gave the bed one last longing look, I cross the room and knock on the door. "Isabelle? Are you well?" I said through the door.
Yet, again, I got no reply.
I sigh and open the door to reveal nothing. Last night flashes through my mind, and my confusion turns into fear.
Just the thought.... a shiver creeps down my spine.
My heart drops when I hear a high pitch scream."Isabelle?!" I shout and run out of the room and down the large stair case. I call out to her yet receive no call back. "Isa-."
A scream slips from my lips as I collapse to the ground. "Oh! Mademoiselle!" My head snaps up, a floating candle stick hangs above me. "I deeply apologize!" I feel his invisible hand take mine. I nod in thanks to him as he helps me to my feet. "Where are you to in such a rush?"
"It is I who should be sorry, I should have been looking where I was going." I shook my head and dust myself off. "I have been searching for my sister, yet Isabelle seems to be no where to be found."
"Belle?" He asks, the candle floating closer to me. "Oh, yes, she is in-..." he stops. I tilt my head. "Um, she, s-she's in the garden." He finishes.
"Surely?" I ask him and cross my arms.
"Would I lie to you, Mademoiselle?" I sigh and drop my arms to my side.
