Lucinda's point of view

"It is you, right?" I ask and hold her hands tighter in mine. Isabelle tilts her head with a squint.

"Of course it's me! Who else would it be?" She said, I sigh in relief. Get a hold of yourself, this is your sister, not that crazy witch. I should have known by her voice... "Lucinda," I meet her gaze and smile. "We need to talk."

"We do," I agree with a nod. "There is so much I need to tell you, so many things I've seen! Isabelle I- Hey!" I yelp in surprise when suddenly Isabelle pulls on my arm. We run through the halls, my eyebrows crease together when I notice we are running toward the east wing. "Isabelle! Stop! What are you..." She stops in front of a door and opens it, quickly shoving me in.

Still in shock, I stumble back and into the brightly lit room. She follows me inside and closed the door behind her.

"Belle, are you insane!" I yell at her. She crosses the room and pulls on the curtains, drawing them in, the bright sunlight cut  off from the room.

"Of course not!" She shouts back, mumbling, "At least I don't think so..." my eyes widen at that. "It doesn't matter," she shakes her head as if to dismiss the subject. "What matters is we are together now. Who knows what that awful being did to you!"

"Awful being?" I ask and take a step back. "What are you talking about?" Isabelle's shoulders drop.

"Who else?! The beast! That monster has kept my sister prisoner-who knows where- and would not let me see her!" Isabelle shouts and cross her arms. "Do you know how worried I was?" I try to hold back my smile, Isabelle's standing how Papa would when one of us were in trouble. My heart clenched at the find and old memory. "I haven't seen you in days Lucinda... I... I didn't know where you went," she sniffs, her crossed arms move to cradle herself. "Or... or if you w-were okay..." my eyes widen at the sight of the tears in Belle's eyes.

"Oh, Isabelle..." I murmur and walk toward her. Once close enough, I wrap my arms around her, holding her tightly to me. She shakes in my arms for a moment, then the tears escape followed by quiet sobs. "Sh," I coo and rub her back. "I'm okay, it will take more than a big beast to take me down." She giggles, her tears still dripping down her cheeks. I lift up my hand and wipe each drop away.

She always did have a too sensitive heart.

"Lu...Lucinda?" I him in response. She looks up at me as she rubs her eyes with her wrist. "I miss the village..." she mumbled. "I want to go home."

I gulp and reach up, petting her golden locks. I knew she was going to bring it up sooner or later... I just wish it was later; much, much later...

"I don't like it here," she whispered. "I thought I wanted a life of adventure and freedom... but it's so scary."

"But not everything here is scary," I reason. "What about Jonas, Mrs. Thompson, and Domain?" She blushes slightly and sighed.

"They're nice, Lucinda, but they are not human. They are invisible during the day, and at night, they are as white as ghosts! This is not normal, I want normal. I want to live normal again, Lucinda!" She begs, her hands grabbing my wrists.

Normal? Could we ever be normal again? I bite the inside of my cheek. I don't know if I want to be normal again. This place has its ups and downs, but... it really has been an adventure and... I don't want it to end yet.

"Why do you want that?" I step back, my arms reached out to her. "Why do you want to be normal?"

She sighs and shakes her head. "You wouldn't understand. You could never understand; you like this place. You want to stay, although I could never see why!" She snapped and lets go of my wrists.
