Lucinda's point of view
I grit my teeth, my legs clench tighter around the horse. The beat of her hooves made my head throb more, the beast's yelling wasn't helping either.
"Stop the horse this moment, Lucinda!" The beast roars, he's running beside us, his head leveled with the horse's as he runs on all fours.
"You do not have the authority to tell me what to do!" I shout back, immediately feeling regret as the head ache got worse. "Besides," I groan and turn to him and shake my head. "I can't," I mumble. I gasp as she jumped, my grip loosening from her mane. I wrap my arms around the horse's neck, I don't want to fall off.
I glance down at the fast moving ground.
I really don't want to fall off.
I moan in pain, my injured arm hitting against the horse's neck. "I can barely hold on!" I tell him. He growls, making the horse neigh nervously.
The beast runs closer and snaps at the horse's hooves. Causing for her to scream louder, and for my head ache to grow almost unbearable.
"Beast! Stop! You'll make her-" I scream, the horse backing up as she kicks her front legs at the beast. I lose my balance and fall off, grunting as I hit the snow. Fortunately, I landed on my non-injured arm.
The horse runs off, leaving me with the beast. "Lucinda..." I wince and slowly turn, the beast enraged face a few inches away from my own face. "What the hell were you thinking?!" He shouts and stands, shaking the snow off his fur.
I sigh, "Would you wish to know?"
"Yes, that is why I..." He growls and shakes his head. "Never mind it! What were you doing on that blasted horse?! I thought I ordered the servant's to keep you in your room!" He yells, his furry hands clenched at his sides.
"The servants?" I ask and stand, my legs shaking beneath me. "It was you? You ordered them to keep me in my room?!" His face goes blank, his eyes widening as his ears go back. "It wasn't the doctor who gave the order, it was you!" I shout.
He takes a step back, I take one forward.
"I cannot believe this! Do you even have a doctor?!" I shout.
"Of course we have a doctor, who do you think fixed you?!" He growls and snaps his fangs at me.
"Fixed me? Fixed me?! Is this all I am to you?! Something that needs to be fixed like a broken wagon or a destroyed vase!" I clench my fists. "An object?! You think of me as an object?!" I scream at him.
"I never said-!" I cut him off.
"No, but you meant it, did you not? Is that how you think of all women or just me?!" I shout and shove his large chest, making him stumble a step back. He growls, his blue eyes flickering with the black.
I still.
I'm playing with fire, I just know it. I have to stop this, now.
"Beast.... Theodred, let us not-." I scream as he grabs my bleeding arm. I struggle to remove his grip but it only tightens.
I bite my tongue to hold in my whimper as he leaned in closer to me. His eyes half black and half blue. "Don't.... don't ever... call, c-call me that bloody damn name!" He roars in my face and pulls on my arm.
I cry out, his claws scratching against my already injured arm as he drags me away.
"Beast, please, let go of me! You are hurting me!" I scream, my arm burning as my torn sleeves now reveal it to the open world. "I get it, I get it! You are upset! I understand this, but, can we at least talk about this before we make any irrational decisions?!"
