CHAPTER ELEVEN:

JOHAM THE RULER

Joham watched as his two eldest son’s threw Serena into the room. She was sobbing in fear. She fell onto her knees and tried to balance herself with her hands handcuffed behind her back. Joham was sitting in his chair in his office. He crossed his legs as he saw her on the ground. His daughter, Bianca, was standing behind his desk.

Serena was in her pajamas. She had no idea why she was here, but she was screaming when Justice and Kade slammed open her door and did the procedure. When there was tape across her mouth with her hands handcuffed behind her, she was forced through the hallways.

Bianca was in her red nightgown, her long black hair in a ponytail. Though she was extremely tired, she was here because her father called. She always did as her father asked. She was his daughter so she had to what he said.

Though Joham felt bad waking his daughter up early in the morning, he needed her for looking through Serena’s head to see what information she could give them.

“Thank you Justice and Kade, you may leave the room.” Joham told them calmly.

The two sons did so. When they were out, leaned forward in his chair to look closely at Serena. The blonde shut her blue eyes in fear as she sobbed. Bianca watched silently as her father the gently took the tape that silenced her off of her mouth. He didn’t need to have the others in his castle to be hearing Serena. He didn’t want hybrids who would be out of focus the next day.

“Serena, I don’t want to harm you. All I want is for you to tell me what I want to know.” Joham told her.

Serena’s shoulders shacked as she asked him, “what in-information?”

“Don’t play dumb with me, Serena.” Joham growled getting impatient.

“What?!” Serena asked fearful..

“I want to know about the information regarding the Adams and Cullens’ family escape as well as Mr. William’s.” Joham growled.

Serena opened her eyes to look at them and her shoulders stopped shaking. She was beyond shocked.

“What?!” Serena asked in a coarse voice.

They left. They had escaped this hell hole and they didn’t take her with them? They left her here to get raped and die? How could they do this to her? Serena loved Colton and she was sure that he loved her too, but if he did then why wouldn’t he take her with them on their escape? She was also more than sure that Justin would not let her stay here, but in the end he had. She had thought so wrongly of them all of this time.

Joham raised his eyebrows and leaned back in his chair.

“You did not know?” he asked.

“No.” Serena said shocked.

“Bianca check.” Joham ordered.

Bianca walked from behind her father to in front of him. Serena closed her eyes and felt Bianca’s cold hands touch each side of her head. After a couple of minutes of silence, Serena felt Bianca let go of her.

“She didn’t know.” Bianca told her father.

Serena opened her eyes to see Joham nod silently before he then told his youngest daughter, “thank you Bianca. You may go back to bed.”

Bianca nodded and kissed her father’s cheek before she left the room. Serena stared at the ground as Joham looked her over.

“Since Young Mr. Adam-Cullen’s absence, you will be paired off with my youngest son in two days time.” Joham told her.

“Yes.” Serena said in a whisper.

Joham then got up and walked behind her. He then took off her handcuffs and told her to stand up. He then led her out of the room and gave her to Kade.

“Take her to her room.” Joham told him.

Kade nodded and took Serena down the hallways. She didn’t care about being paired again. All she cared about was wondering how Colton could’ve left her.
