Echo's ship engines roared to life as Isabel powered it up.

"Well Echo hurry up! What are you doing just standing there let's go!" Isabel was rather excited about meeting the other hunters herself.

"Yeah, yeah I'm coming," Echo said jogging unenthusiastically over to the ship.

The roar of the engines grew louder as soon as Echo got in, slowly and carefully the ship rose up before blasting into the sky at full speed, scaring some nearby fallen in the process. Echo's ship tore through the sky like the jets of old, flying past mountains soaring upwards towards the clouds punching holes into them as the ship barreled through. Lightning flickered in the distance but Echo's ship did not slow, it continued forwards plunging into the thunderstorm, lighting flashed around the ship as rain drenched it. The winds roared as they tried to fight back against Echo's ship but they were no match for it as his ship bursted out of the storm revealing the tower in full view.

"We're here!" Isabel said excited.

Suddenly Echo's coms came on, and a familiar voice came through.

"Well would look who it is? Took you guys long enough. I'll meet you two in the hanger."

"See you there Cayde," Echo replied as Isabel took control of his ship.

Isabel transmated Echo to the front of the tower, and he began to look around. Echo actually hadn't been to the tower in quite awhile. With all the patrols he had been doing lately he just never had the time. Unlike most guardians Echo had his own place in the last city and preferred to go there instead of the tower. Even so, he did find it quite nice to be back. As Echo made his way to the hanger he saw some familiar faces and couldn't believe how much some of them had changed, it reminded him about what he was about to do, Maybe change isn't that bad he thought.

"Hey!! Over here!" Cayde had screamed to get his attention startling Echo and breaking his thought.

"Damnit Cayde," Echo said under his breath walking over to him as other guardians stared at him.

"Hey watch the language! we got two new blueberries over here." Cayde yelled.

"Right..." Echo muttered wondering how he even heard him.

Echo looked over at the two hunters, One was a male exo just like him. The other a female awoken a rarity here on earth.

"Apparently these two arrived here together, fought their way out of old Chicago. They even managed to find an old ship that they got working just long enough to reach the outside of the walls." Cayde said.

Echo didn't show it but he was a little impressed himself.

Suddenly the female hunter began to speak, "That's right sir! It was a hard fight but we managed to pull through!"

Echo was surprised about how forward she was being but he could tell even she was a little nervous, mainly because she was shaking the whole time she talked.

"Hey kid no need to be so formal," Echo said trying to calm her down.

A bit a relief came over her face as she looked down.

"So what's your name?" Echo asked

The female hunter looked up again, "It's Iris Sol sir!"

"Well it's nice to meet you Iris," Echo said. He then looked at the male hunter, "and what's your name if you don't mind me asking?"

"M-My name is A-Alderam-1 sir!" The male hunter said stuttering.

"Yeah first day was hard for me too but it's nice to meet you as well Alderam," Echo said trying to ease him.

Alderam just nodded his head and looked at the floor.

"Well it looks like you got everything handled here," Cayde said starting to walk off. "I'll check back on you guys in a week or so from now so try not to get killed okay?"

As the group watched Cayde walk away Iris looked at Echo, "Um sir, what's your name?"

Echo looked back at her, "Oh yeah I almost forgot!" Echo said laughing. "My name is Echo-4 and as you know, I'll be your mentor for the next few days."

Isabel suddenly appeared from behind Echos head startling both the new hunters for a moment. "Oh this brings back memories of when Echo and I first came to the tower!"

Iris was little shocked almost as if she hadn't seen a ghost before, Alderam on the other hand seemed to recognize what Isabel was but was still scared nonetheless.

"Hey no need to be afraid guys this is Isabel she's my ghost."

"Nice to meet you two!" Isabel said cheerfully.

"Your ghost?" Iris asked as she carefully observed Isabel from afar.

"What you mean you haven't seen yours yet?" Echo turned to Alderam, "What about you Alderam have you met yours yet?"

Alderam nodded his head up and down,"O-Once, It led me to I-Iris. It didn't speak like yours though."

"Huh, I guess you got one of the quiet ones then, so how'd you find your way to the tower?" Echo asked.

"I know this might sound a little crazy but I heard this voice in my head that was telling me where to go and what to do." Iris answered.

"That was your ghost Iris." Isabel chimed in, "They must be a little shy if they haven't shown themself to you yet."

Iris seemed to have another wave of relief go over her, being thankful that she wasn't going crazy but started to wonder what her ghost would be like.

Echo took notice of their gear, "Wow you guys really are fresh from the grave. Hey let's get going, I'll take you two to the gunsmith to get some better gear."

Both Alderam and Iris straightened up and yelled, "Yes sir!"

Echo walked off with Isabel floating around him while Iris and Alderam followed close behind, "I told you guys you don't need to call me that."
