"Okay Alderam you ready?" Echo said.

Y-Yeah I think I-I am," Alderam said quietly.

Ever since Alderam and Iris met Echo, Alderam had always been a little shy compared to Iris, who was basically almost ready for everything. But even though it didn't seem like it, Alderam was trying to come out of his shell.

"Sorry what did you say I didn't hear you?" Echo said.

"Yes sir!" Alderam yelled with all his might.

"Alright then," Echo said with a smile.

Echo took his hand cannon out of its holster and handed it to Alderam.

"Make sure you don't break that thing okay?" Echo said taking a few steps away from him.

"Okay!" Alderam responded.

Alderam looked at the gun in his hands admiring it. He thought it was beautiful but then Echo broke his train of thought.

"Listen up Alderam! you're going to want to try and do the same thing Iris did but with that hand cannon instead." Echo said.

Alderam nodded his head and began to focus. At first he didn't feel anything, fearing that he might not be able to do it, but then he felt a burning sensation in his hands and opened his eyes to see the hand cannon glowing faintly of orange. Then in a similar fashion to Echo, he lifted the gun quickly into the air and then the familiar popping sound was heard again. The golden gun bursted into flames again igniting Alderam's body just as it did to Echo.

"Alright that's how you do it!" Echo yelled.

Iris gave a thumbs up to Alderam in approval as she enjoyed the show.

Then just like Echo did before, Alderam fired three shots into the distance lighting up the area around them. Then the flames left his body. As Echo walked over to Alderam to get his gun back, Alderam asked a question. "Hey Echo, where did you get this gun?"

Echo took the gun from Alderam's hand and sat down on a rock motioning for them to come over. "Well actually a friend helped me make it awhile back. You see this is a replica of a gun called The Last Word. The original is owned by a hunter only known as the man with the golden gun."

Alderam's eyes lit up with curiosity and so did Iris's. Echo could see they both wanted to know more, so reluctantly he told them the story of the man with the Golden gun and his battle with the guardian killer known as Dredgen Yor and his Thorn.

While Alderam took an interest into The man and his Golden gun, Iris wanted to know more about this Dredgen Yor.

"How did Yor end up like that?" Iris asked.

Echo was quiet for a moment but then spoke, "They say Yor used to be a guardian just like any of us, but one day he wanted to be more. He wanted a real challenge to prove himself, to be remembered as one of the best. So one day he decided to go where no guardian would go. He went to the Moon."

"What's so bad about the Moon? More of those fallen guys or something?" Iris was getting even more intrigued.

"No not them, but something much, much worse. The moon itself wasn't a big deal way back when, it was just a barren rock or close to it. There were these creatures called the hive that appeared there sometime after the fallen arrived in our system. At the time we didn't think they were that big of a threat as long as they kept to the moon. Then the battle of Twilight Gap happened.

"What does that have to do with Yor?" Iris asked confused, even Alderam was having trouble following along at this point.

"I'm getting there alright. After we defeated the Fallen at Twilight Gap spirits around The City were higher than they had been in decades. We thought we could take on anything, and after a close victory against some hive that had made their way to Earth at the Battle of the Burning Lake, The Consensus made a call to retake the Moon.

"S-So did we win?" Alderam asked stuttering again.

"No. We lost horribly. It was so horrific we only call the event The Great Disaster, the moon was even closed off from guardians for a couple of years. Even now any guardians that lands there have no official support from the vanguard. That is why Yor went to the Moon because at the time he wanted to claim a victory for the city where they had lost so many, but he came back twisted and was a far cry from the man he once was. Even his gun that he named Rose had been deformed and corrupted into a Thorn.

Iris was absolutely back into the story again, while Alderam acquired a new fear of the Moon. "Echo could you tell us more about the Moon and the hive?" Iris was full of curiosity now.

While Echo did answer some of her questions. Echo knew that if he told her anymore it might lead to some trouble.

"Alright guys I think that's enough for tonight. Let's head back to the tower so you two can get some rest." Echo said.

"Hey Echo I still have more questions!" Iris said.

"I'll answer them later okay? You need to get some rest after today." Echo said trying to avoid anymore questions.

"Fine alright." Iris said disappointed.

Echo took both of them back to the tower. Actually regretting even mentioning the stories he told them.

"Alright you two I'll see you tomorrow." Echo said escorting them back to their quarters. "Maybe we could go out on patrol tomorrow as well, I'm thinking maybe we go to Venus."

Iris and Alderam's eyes both lit up with excitement. "Yes sir!" They both quickly ran back to their quarters excited at the thought of visiting a different planet.

Once again Echo returned to the last city walking back to his home.

"Are you sure you should've told them about all that?" Isabel asked.

Echo looked at her unsure himself. "I'm sure they'll stop thinking about it eventually. Besides a little history lesson never hurt anyone."

Isabel looked at him concerned "If you say so."
