After a year , everything was perfect. The ten foot high fence wad torn down and burned. People were getting along and learning a lot from one another. The perfect combination of past and future.
Isaac and Gemma were closer than ever after Gemma was released from the medical center. They were never more than three feet apart.
They married in a small ceremony with just their families in attendance. Isaac went on to teach little kids. And Gemma worked at the medical center in pediatrics.
And it wasn't long before they were pregnant with their first child. The first of a new generation.
Nine short months later their son was born. They named him Genisis. Which means "beginning". He would be the leader of the new generation to follow.
Gemma's dad couldn't be more proud. His dream almost came true. He did get that grandson he always wanted. But the was no war to train him for.
In one more year Genisis would be joined by a little sister named Crystal. Over time Isaac and Gemma would have four kids. Grant and Joshua were the surprise twins that followed.
A happy ending for a not so happy beginning.
