Miranda's POV
I don't understand how people are inspired by others. I mean, congratulations, you've achieved something. I want be just like you and be great too! You've inspired me to do my best and now I won't be lazy!
Psha yeah right.
It's something more like this: You achieved something! Good for f*cking you. Now I'm gonna go over there and be jealous. Have a great life! And hopefully my parents don't find out and compare me to you.
I'm the latter. I'm fine with being average, mediocre, regular, same diff. Society is pressuring us to fit in yet parents are pressuring us into being remarkable. You know what I mean. You just wanna tell them "shhhhh. Take a step back, and let me breathe. Okay. Now QUIT PRESSURING ME MOFO!"
People also see a quote like,"be the change you want to see in the world" and go all,"awww I'm gonna do that!"
I see a quote like,"I don't want go to heaven. None of my friends are there -Oscar Wilde" and laugh my butt off while those naïve and innocent gaze at me and silently shake their heads and think,"that poor, poor soul" whilst drinking tea and nibbling scones or sipping wine and daintily cutting their medium-rare steak.
The thing is, I'm not inspired by quotes or great people. I'm inspired by real life people like Señora Estrada. She and her family rowed from Cuba here and they were penniless. She made money by offering to work for free at Arnie's Anecdotes, a place for seniors and seniors, so he'd let her family of 5 live in the mini apartment above the bakery. Now, she not only owns Arnie's, she also owns the two stores on either side and a luxury penthouse downtown. All by working hard. And baking the best goddamn layer cakes in the world.
She inspires me. But not enough to get my lazy posterior moving. I know I'll meet others who might in the future. And now that I have, it's time I recorded how.
Hello, world. This is my story.

Author's Note:
Wow. I'm creative. And incredibly dull. I've got the beginning, I've got the ending. BUT IT'S MISSING THE MEAT OF THE HAMBURGER! I'm open to collabs or you can write it and I'll supply ideas for future chapters. Meanwhile, adios mi amigos.
