A/N:Hey guys this is just a story idea. I already have a scene planned out and ready. As your average teenage girl, I am semi-obsessed with romance novels. I'll make an overview of it, then the scene I originally thought up.
Marissa has been in love. 9 times. Sadly, it's never been returned. So now, with 10 best friends (all of which are of the male species, but just barely human), most of which refuse to settle, she has decided to play cupid. What they can't know is that exactly 8 of them have been her past love. Knowing what she does about each of them, finding out what women they'd like is easier than she'd think. Too easy. In present time, with 5 of them engaged, 3 of them in long term relationships, and merely 2 still single, Marissa doesn't have much work to do. There is only one who hasn't budged once.
Ashton. Marissa's first friend. And kiss. And love. Suddenly, Marrisa's cousin, Angie, came to visit. And as the cliche book indicates, Angie shows an interest in Ashton. And the feeling is mutual.
Shrugging off her feelings for this long time friend, Marissa tries to play matchmaker yet again. What she doesn't know is that number 9, the only one who doesn't know what she looks like with bed hair, is back in town after 7 years.
And boy has he changed. No longer the sweet, naive boy she remembered, she now saw that he's changed and became more bitter. Torn between mending a broken being and finding love for the people closest to her, Marissa is completely forgetting that she's only human too, and that she needs love and support. Finding the balance between helping two differenct friends, living her life, and spending time on herself has proved than originally thought. Hopefully, a confrontation will help Marissa realize that you can't be both the lover, the selfless, and the stupid.
Marissa's P.O.V
"How could you do that?! How could you just let her go?!" I screamed at Ashton, waving my arms around as he was sat on the couch, head in his hands.
"Isn't there a saying that if you love someone, you let them go?"Ashton just barely breathed.
Sighing, I collapsed on the couch next to him. "If you love someone, you'd want them be as happy as you are when you're with them. Only let them go when that's what makes them happy. Fighting for who you love is part of loving them.If you never fought for someone, then you haven't truly experienced love." By the time I was finished, i looked over and saw that Ashton was staring intently at me.
"Is that why you've never tried to fight for me?" he inquired.
Blushing red, I cleared my throat and looked away. "This isn't about me! It's about you getting the love of your life back!" I proclaimed and stood back up to rant. "Just plan carefully enough and she'll come back to you!" I said encouragingly and pushed him out the door. "Now go out and get 'em. Bye!"
Author's Note:
I know I know. Weak storyline, confusing scene. But that's why it's here, so you can take it and polish it up. I just wanted to say that if you love someone, don't let them go. Try to get them back and if that doesn't work, try to help them achieve happiness. Yup, I'm getting sappy here. Anyway, to retain some of ,my inner tomboyness, *BURP*. All done. K bye!!
