I'm with Elijah and some of his fellow vampires as we arrive to the Cemetery to see a witch gathering and Elijah quickly takes out three witches with his vampire speed and the brick guy runs off. "My siblings have been taken. Where are they?" Elijah asks, looking around and Monique Deveraux, Sophie's niece, steps up as she's holding a lit, white candle. "You’re interrupting my Aunt Sophie’s consecration." She says and we look to see Sophie's name at the bottom of the Deveraux family tomb. "How did this happen?" Elijah asks and we look at Monique. "Aunt Sophie was a casualty of war." She says, smiling. "Monique, I recommend you give me what I want. Unless, of course, you’d like me to level this place and everything in it." Elijah says, trying to control his anger. "That won't be necessary." Monique says and raises her eyebrows. "I have a message for you.. from Celeste." She says, putting her hand out and Elijah opens his shirt to see a name written on it I can't make out and then rolls up his sleeve as what appears to be a rash but Sabine's name appears on it instead. "To find what you’re looking for, follow the path she left behind." Monique says.

We arrive back to the Compound to see Marcel sending troops out to look for Klaus and Rebekah as Kol is still recovering from last night's attack. "Anything?" Elijah asks. "They're putting eyes and ears out everywhere. Daywalkers are working every contact we’ve got. Cops, dock workers, guys in the Treme. Word is out. Anyone trying to earn favor with me gets a lifetime of it if they find them." Marcel says. "Good. We need a pen and paper." I say and follow Elijah to his study. "Hey. Am I taking orders from you now, or are we in this together, kid?" Marcel asks as Elijah takes off his jacket. "Pen and paper, Marcellus." Elijah says and turns around to look at Marcel. "Now." He says. "Look, want her back just as much as you do, you know.. both of them." Marcel says and turns around, walking off as Elijah removes his tie and I help him unbutton his shirt. "Hayley!" Elijah shouts and we hear footsteps. "Elijah! You’re back. Did you find any.." She says and looks at us as I help Elijah take his shirt off. "Well, this appears to be a bit awkward. I don't oppose the sexuality of Adam, he's just helping me with this." Elijah says and I give a small nod. "Definitely awkward. This is Hayley's job." I say and they both cross their arms at me and I put my hands up in self defense. "What is going on?" She asks. "I need you to make a list of these names. Please." He says to her as she walks towards us. "Ok." She says and looks at all the names around Elijah's body as she walks around him and notices Sabine's name. "Sabine? Elijah, what is this?" Hayley asks as Elijah holds his arm up. "I believe they represent the names of the women Celeste inhabited for the past two centuries." He says, putting his arm down as Marcel walks in, handing the pen and paper to me and I give it to Hayley. "It's called a Devinette. It's old school. Kind of a riddle. Witches use them to teach their kids. Solve it, and it disappears." Marcel says. "Why? What's the point?" I ask, confused. "Celeste forced me to make a choice between you and Adam and my siblings, and now she means to mock that choice, taunting me with a childish game. The longer the game, the more they suffer. To find Klaus and Rebekah, we need to solve this riddle. The solution lies somewhere in these names." Elijah says, holding his arms up. "The name next to Sabine.. Annie La Fleur." Marcel says, pointing at Annie's name. "She’s the witch that was shunned from her coven just over a year ago. Never knew why, but I can find out." He says as we look at him.

I arrive with Marcel and Elijah to the place where Annie was shunned and we talk with her father. "Annie was a good girl. The witches did her wrong, shunning her like that, claiming she was doing dark magic. There’s no way. But, they had proof." He says, shaking her head. "So, she just quit, and I can’t really blame her for that. 'Cause once you’ve been shunned, what’s the point in going on, you know?" He asks.

I'm walking back with Elijah as he's on the phone with Hayley. "Yes, drowned herself in the Mississippi, to be precise. Celeste was clearly tired of the body and ready to take Sabine’s. Because she leaped to her death from the very location Celeste and I had our first kiss." Elijah says. "How creepily romantic." I say, giving a small sigh. "Are you sure you and Hayley aren't twins? You two act the same." Elijah says, grinning at me before talking back to Hayley. "All these names, these lives, stolen that Celeste might take her revenge. I suppose we have no choice but to see where they take us. Hayley, I have to go. I'll call you back. What is it?" He asks, slowing down and we stop. "I'll see what he knows. You and Adam were going to die in that fire, Hayley along with my brother’s child. There was no choice." Elijah says and hangs up.
