Well another sleepless night washed over me as my thoughts captivated my mind.
This was getting too out of hand.
I decided to use this time for something useful instead of letting it go to waste.
I got up and sat on my desk checking if I have unfinished work. Finding nothing, I sighed and placed my head between my hands. This is becoming a problem. Glancing one more time at my desk, I recalled I have a training tomorrow morning directly after breakfast. That should keep my mind off recent events.
I can even go check the new equipment delivered to the castle a couple of days ago. I haven't seen them yet somehow always getting busy with something.
I got up from my desk getting out of my room and closing the door behind me. I sensed an eerie feeling around the floor but brushed it away as I couldn't see anything.
Taking the stairs to head to the basement, I felt someone was following me. Wanting to catch that person red handed and not give them the consolation of running away, I continued walking till I reached a turn in the corridor that lead to the basement and waiting till the person got in sight. As soon as I saw a figure pass noticing it was a guy, I flipped him towards the wall and held his hands in an uncomfortable position behind his back.
Getting the same sparks I felt two days ago in the woods, I knew who this person was.
"Wouldn't you rather I had you pressed against this wall?" He tried turning his head towards me while throwing his playful remark.
"Wouldn't you rather tell me why were you following me" I quirked up and eyebrow and toughened my hold on him.
"Well, I was hungry and went out looking for a snack, but then I found you princess" he winked as much as he could being pressed to the wall
"Now the real reason?" Exasperated, I sighed and rolled my eyes "I don't really have the much needed patience to deal with you right now."
"Well, I was honestly hungry, and trying to find my way to the kitchen, I smelled a very sweet smell and told myself why not follow it, and it turned out to be you so, that was actually somehow true" he let out a small laugh.
However, there was nothing funny about it. I stilled on spot as he finished his sentence. He smelled me?? That far? Oh gosh. Everything I did to get rid of those thoughts that kept taunting me, turn out to be true?
"Are you playing with me right now?" I harshly spat out and didn't realize I loosened my grip that he turned around properly
Before I could do anything again and grab him, he flipped us so that now he had me against the wall holding my hands by my wrists beside my head.
I widened my eyes as a surprised gasp escaped my mouth.
"Davien. Stop." I widened my eyes warning him speaking with a surprisingly soft voice.
"Say that again" he took a step further almost closing the distance between us. "Say my name again, Evelyne." my name rolled out of his mouth like magical water, it sounded so natural from him yet so different from any other time I've heard my name.
I opened my mouth to argue with him but rather found myself speechless when he spoke.
"I-I, You shouldn't be here" I said turning my head to the side.
"Oh yeah? Where should I be?" He whispered in my ear.
"In your room..." I paused and let out a breath I was keeping in.
He let go of one of my hands to turn my face to him. His hand stilled on my jaw before he ran it up my cheek and back again down my jaw. The sparks came to life again and I fought myself not to close my eyes at the satisfaction his touch was giving me. Then suddenly, he pulled back making some distance between us.
