We have gone back to find Davien done with his speech and the whole crowd clapping and cheering for him. I think he did a pretty good job here.
He comes down from the stage with a huge grin giving me a hug after a long kiss.
"Someone's very happy." I chuckle wrapping my arms around his neck.
"With a beautiful mate by my side and some progress what do I need more? The people are starting to cooperate with our plan."
"Well what do they say, we gotta take one step at a time."
"Okay love birds I hate to break it to you but you need to come see this." Kara leads us out the gates of the assembly to find a couple angry protesters standing rather quietly outside.
Well that seems strange.
Kara seems like she has read my mind shooting her answer right away, "They haven't been doing any mess but they were listening to Dav's speech all along."
I think we are really starting to make a difference.
A man around the age of 30 approached us from the front of the crowd.
"My name is Kevin Collins, my people and I didn't come here to hear you talk, but we would like to give you a chance to prove to us that we can trust you and that it is the right option."
Enthusiasm sprouts through me and I extend my arm to shake his, but he looks at it and keeps his own behind his back.
Awkwardly retrieving it back I say,
"It's a pleasure Mr. Collins. I am Adelynn-"
"I know who you are, Adelynn Chronis, daughter to Alexander and Astrid Chronis, the royals who abandoned us long time ago. And Davien Woods as the stories have it." He interrupts me looking at us in a sly irritated manner, if that's possible.
Davien and I are speechless for a second but share the same words in our thoughts;
'We should take our shot'
"We are very glad to have met you and are looking forward to welcome you and your people to our dinner table this evening to discuss our situation." Davien gives him a polite smile and with a welcoming tone he convinces the crowd beyond us.
Collins leaves with a curt nod and walking in the opposite direction.
"That should be well. But where are we going to meet up with them." Davien pinches the bridge of his nose while closing his eyes.
With a mischievous grin, I wrap my small scarf around his eyes and lead him to our castle.
"What are you doing? Are you kidnapping me?" Davien lets out a laugh surprised from what's going on.
"Something you'll love."
We stand in front of our castle with a grin on my side and a clueless Davien on the other.
"I present to you, our home." And I remove the scarf off his eyes waiting for him to adjust to the light.
It took him a good minute of stuttering and frowning to finally grasp what was going on.
"Is this what I think it is?" He looks at me perplexed and unsure.
"This is where I lived as a child, not the finest but the best we got. I want to live here with you, rule by your side, love you like there's no tomorrow. I want us to make beautiful memories and erase the ones that enslaved us in torture."
He reciprocates my grin holding me up and turning us around before putting me down and giving me a kiss.
"Adelynn Chronis, how did I get so lucky to fall for you?"
