"Good morning love birds, I hope you're ready because we are about to go to the big pack house." Noah has shown to our doorstep all chirpy and excited in contrast with my own state which was that of fatigue and messy hair with squinty eyes.

"Noah, do I look like ready for you?" I move aside to let him in and close the door after him.

"I'm sorry if I waked you up, I just wanted to catch you before you left. Besides I thought vampires don't feel tired." He winks at me before going into the house and sitting on the couch.

"Well Davien is preparing breakfast in the kitchen, if you want stay and have a bite with us." I saunter into the kitchen returning his wink back in the process.

"Who was that?" Davien looks up at me as he sees me enter the kitchen just to proceed with what he's doing.

"Just Noah, he is still persistent on taking us to meet their alpha. Are you up for it?" I ask him as I sit on the stool behind the counter.

"Yeah sure why not, we won't be long."

I watch as he chops the vegetables and fruits in the plate and wonder how long will it take us to figure out what he is, not because I don't like him this way, but I know that deep inside that he always wonders about that topic and feels like an outsider for not knowing.

"Hey, Davien, I wanted to tell you something." I look at him with caring eyes and about to tell him what happened the other day, but at that exact moment Noah comes in and sits by a stool beside me.

"So, soul mates huh?" He picks up a slice of an apple and gulps it down before continuing, "You know we as werewolf also have mates, but our concept is different than yours; we aren't bound to life together, and our bond forms up by time, and the female doesn't have to touch the male to know him." He puts his eyes in mine as he speaks making me raise an eyebrow his way.

"And have you found your mate?" I tilt my head raising my shoulders.

"No, not yet. But hopefully someday, not a century from now." He gives me another wink and turns to Davien. I try to ignore his sarcastic remark because I can swear that I'll kick him if he doesn't shut that mouth of his.

"So, why are you heading north?" he quires as Davien scoops all of us some food in our plates.

"That is none of your business." I reply with a sarcastic smile.

However, Davien was more subtle and was generous enough to answer politely and say, "We just have something to finish, you know things to investigate about."

"What is this thing?" His continuous curiosity lead me on edge as I stand up frustratedly pushing my half-finished plate aside.

"You know why don't we just get moving because I don't think I can take any more of this annoying conversation?"

"Easy there tiger, we were just having a talk. Anyway, come on let's head out."

We walk to a big house, almost like a villa of some sort, in the middle of town. Smaller houses spread in an organized way around the house and through town. Who would've thought that wolves could be this clean?

"This is the pack house, the alpha, beta, and gamma live here along with their families. To enlighten you, the alpha is like our king, the beta is one step under him, who takes care of things when the alpha can't, and lastly, the gamma is the head of the army." Noah gives us this explanation about their ruling system and it sure as fiery fangs is different than ours.

He moves in front of us as Davien and I fall behind in silence. I look at Davien and sense a weird feeling, it's like he is afraid of something.

"You've been weirdly off, I'm worried about you."
