I got back to the castle a bit late that night after hearing Uncle Spells' stories starting with the war and continuing throughout the whole period reaching this day.

I was fascinated with how much has happened to all the kingdoms in terms of change until they reached this point in their ruling. Although I've survived the war but it was a couple decades ago that I started caring about the royal issues, right after my brother lost his soul mate and turn to take the throne due to a mismatch made in heaven.

Turns out the demons were actually on bad terms with the witches so they pushed them to use dark magic on them against Merlin's rules and so they became the sinsters between the kingdoms.

But that's not as important as the fact that the werewolf alpha was murdered by his own people, but no valid reason has been known ever since.

All those events have made our world what it is today, from the abandoned lands, to the dark vampire world, to the pure winter in the north.

I smile to myself in between my covers closing my eyes drifting off into a deep sleep I haven't had in a long time.

I see a figure shinning in the distance, I hear a voice calling me from afar, and I sense warmth engulfing me in a welcoming embrace...

Evelyne... it calls.

I'm here for you...I'm not far away, let your heart lead you through this peril. Leave your mind to guide your heart, for the heart without the head is a cycle with no beginning, a rose with no water, and a barren land with no sunlight...

I reach out my hand to touch the shinning object, but to my disappointment everything blacks around me and my heart feels empty, shallow, like all the energy in the world has consumed my soul and left me to decay under the scrutiny of its darkness.

I open my eyes to the sun shining inside my room through the window and feel a good day awaiting me.

"Good morning princess." A good day it is waking up to the most comforting sound in the universe.

"Good morning my beloved." I turn to see him standing right by my bed and give him a smile as I do so.

"How are you feeling today?" He walks towards the window opening the glass for fresh air to enter the room.

"I told you I'm fine, you worry too much." I sit up stretching my arms above my head and let out a small yawn in the process.

"Well I guess that's why we're soul mates isn't it? We complete the missing gap in each other's lives; I'm here to look after you, and you brighten up my nights and add a scent to my dry heart." He gives me a small smile and end it up with a small laugh.

I walk up and stand in front of him placing my hands on his shoulders as his go to intertwine around my waist.

"Well to me you are more than that, I'm just not used to showing how I feel for those who I care about. You mean a lot to me Davien, and your presence is what I am most grateful for in this whole world." I look in his eyes as I say that and watch them glitter with a feeling of want and admiration.

"So, with that being said, how about you take this day off, rest a little and tell me what have you been up to and your future plans that you haven't shared with me yet?"

I stare at him for a second thinking about that a little, but he interrupts me saying,

"Evelyne don't overthink every topic ever, I can literally feel your thoughts sprouting inside your mind and spreading to mine. I said rest princess not get worked up."
